I thought it was common knowledge by now that this guy is an a-hole. Didn’t need to listen to his rant to know that.
wow!!!! I can’t believe he talked to him like that…I understand he may have made a mistake but jeez, you don’t talk to someone like that…I was wishing someone who have told Bale off!! I was just waiting for one of them to grow a pair and tell him the F off…I used to like him but now…not so much. RUDE!!!
i love how Christian Bale thinks his job is so important. Guess what? Acting is one of the least important jobs ever.
I’ve been avoiding evidence for a long time that there’s something nasty behind those pretty Christian Bale eyes. As he is one of my favorite actors, I really, really do not want to believe it. I don’t want to believe that he’s a bad person. After all, he’s the one who said that we should know as little as possible about actors’ personal lives–that we should know nothing about them so that we can judge their performance as objectively as possible and think of them as the character, not the actor.
I’m starting to see what he means.
Oh and I didn’t believe it when they said he ranted and raved to his mother and sister but now hearing this…he totally did.
He keeps this up and nobody will ever want to work with him and he’ll lose some plum gigs because of his attitude. (eg: David O’Russell, Doug Liman, Val Kilmer).
I’m curious to know how Mr Bale would react if he were publicly humiliated like that by a director for getting tongue tied or forgetting his line during a scene.
The real question is why this was leaked. I’m sure actors act like shits all the time, they’re actors. Let’s not have any delusions here, people. I prefer to remain blissfully ignorant about all the inner workings of movies.
Go BATMAN. I wouldn’t want anyone fuckin up me at work when the whole 100 + Million $ project or movie was riding on me! GOOD WORK, put that dumbass in his place and keep them zingers comin!
So what. Bale is acting. He’s pretending to be a different person, which takes concentration. The last thing he needs are distractions on a set. Good for him. Anyone who has ever worked on a set knows when the camera is rolling all is still behind it. Everybody thinks their job is more important on a film set. Guess what? The people in front of the camera are putting butts in the seats. Proof? DPs don’t get $20 million to shoot a film, but you bet your hind end an actor does. Because nobody says, “Oh I have to see DP So & So’s new film.”
What a dick! I’ll never be able to watch another CB movie without thinking of that rant and how he assaulted his mom and sister. Come to think of it, this may have ruined all CB flicks for me. Yuck. I thought he was a f**king professional…
