The chirpy one on The View announced today that having not realized it for two months, she is officially pregnant with her third child. The Hasselbot recalled feeling tired and nauseous on election night: "I thought I was just worn out from the procedure. No. I was knocked up!" People.com has video of the momentous occasion. (It’s fun — Lis and Babs’ red tones clash!) We’re glad the ‘bot didn’t go all Peggy Olson from Mad Men on us and deny her condition and gradual expansion for the next seven months. (Though, can you imagine the ratings spike if she really did that? I might start watching The View!)

I find your calling her a bot rather offensive. Just because someone’s political opinions differ from yours, does not mean they are not worthy of respect. I highly doubt Elisabeth would stoop to the same level if she was referencing you. This is a magazine’s site, not a cheap gossip blog. I thought you were supposed to be a journalist, not a hack blogger.

Elizabeth- The ” Do as I say and Not as I do” girl. Just the other day Elizabeth was complaining about a show- where the woman was driving in the abck seat with her child without a seat belt- then in the next breath the girls were talking about going into a dressing room and looking at oneself naked. Elizabeth made the comment about having a stiff drink before going in. NOW- if one of the other girls said that- she would complain about the the woman having a drink should make sure she has a designated driver. The ” Do as i say and Not as I do” girl is really annoying. I love Whoopi- the reason i watch the show- Once Elizabeth opens her mouth I turned the station so I miss Whoopi 3/4 of the show.

You know, I’m not fond of Hasselbeck (or The View, for that matter), but wow, what a horribly written little piece. It’s snippy, sniping little blurbs like this that perpetuate the polarization, animosity, and hate between Democrats and Republicans, conservatives and liberals. I’m embarrassed for the liberals, and I usually count myself among them. Somehow I think EW wouldn’t refer to any non-conservative Republican celeb’s expectant baby by the very clinical term “fetus.” Shouldn’t those of us who disagree with Hasselbeck’s political positions just be quietly happy that her candidate didn’t get elected and leave it at that?

She hasn’t figured out how this happens? All for the ratings isn’t it? I only watch this show for the first five minutes of Whoopi. If she doesn’t get my attention in the first sentence I change the channel. If she does then I’m there until the first commercial. WNM- It’s loser, not looser. Pet peeve of mine. It’s not about a party winning or losing, it’s the country who is going to lose. If you had any familiarity with the military and how they intercept very real threats every day you might just lose a little sleep over having a man in office who kept company with many terrorists and has hidden his past with the help of the media who worship at his feet. Our economy is tanking and yet the inauguration was the most expensive in history. THAT shows his true concern while he dined and partied like a rock star.
Your arguement holds no water because a stranger sewing the clothes I wear or making the car I drive are not a danger to the safety of our country and very being. I do not care for Hasselbeck either, I don’t feel she represents the Republicans accurately, she tends to rant. I do however like reading about celeb stories and you must as well or you wouldn’t have even clicked on the story to begin with or bothered with a comment.
I watch the view because of the four other women, and the hot topics. They are intelligent, mature, and their opinions are worthy of thought. I do not feel the same about Elisabeth. Though I wish her well,at the same time I feel she has saturated The View with ” I think”…”I think”…” I think”…too many times. Barbara, please find someone else, a bit more grown up.
