‘V’ in the right hands could become the next sci-fi tv hit. ‘Eastwick’ I imagine will be a more sinister or twisted version of ‘Desperate Housewives’. ‘Lost In The 80′s’ could also work for fans of nostalgia. ‘The Wonder Years’ was an awesome Tuesday night sitcom years ago and God knows we could use some good tv sitcoms again.
‘V’ could be a breakout hit if in the right hands for sure. HOWEVER, networks never know what the hell to do with Sci-fi. Best case scenario: it winds up being pretty good, but cancelled after a season snd a half so ABC can push the newest, cheap reality show. Pass.
With V – I hope they take a cue from the mini-series – it was much better than the series that followed…oh and please come up with a better ending than having a half-human/alien child save the day with her super powers that came from who the hell knows!!!
OH!!! AND PLEASE HAVE DIANA’S SHOES FILLED – IT WOULD NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT HER!!!!
This news is making me both insanely excited and terrified at the same time. I wasn’t even 5 when V first aired but I threw the world’s biggest temper tantrum until my parents promised to let me stay up to watch V. Almost 26 years later, I am a huge fan of EVERYTHING to do with V. I own both miniseries and the tv series on DVD and VHS. I own the novelization of the original miniseries. I own the entire comic book series and so on and so forth. I know if this does happen I will watch it and probably end up spending the entire time critiquing every aspect…but I will never miss an episode if it goes through!
I think the time is right for a remake. I have always wondered what it would look like today. I would also like to see the alien home world. That would open up an entire storyline.
V was the shizz and I think they can do it right.

Good call. Greatest sitcom ever.
For the most part I agree with Mikey M. Without Kenneth Johnson writing this it could be a disaster. He wrote the Original Mini Series and walked off during the shooting of the Final Battle due to creative differances and it was all down hill from there. They should be piloting his novel that came out in October of 08. Skeptically I will still watch every episode because after all it is still V.
