I look forward to seeing Donny – he was fabulous in “Joseph”, and yes, I did have a thing for him as a teen. And I don’t think he’s as overbearing as Marie was. As long as they can muzzle her in the audience it’ll be ok. I just hope the rest of the bunch isn’t too disappointing. I didn’t bother watching the last 2 seasons because there simply wasn’t anyone I wanted to root for.
The fact that you think Donny Osmond “wants to become popular again” pretty much reveals your ignorance. With all due respect, of course. He and Marie are playing to sold out houses every night in Las Vegas. I’m sorry that he’s not your cup of tea, but since you asked I’ll be happy to pray for you. I’m sure Donny would as well.

This is so sad! I won’t watch this year I can’t stand the Donny. Soooo annoying!!
Number one, donny is not gay, he has 5 kids and a gorgeous wife. he just has high morals, which is why he gets flack from people. Two, having met him a dozen times, he is one of the nicest guys around. TMZ calls him the most poite celebrity of all time. Three, he is in show business and you have to tout yourself to get gigs. Four, I was there backstage (nurse) when Marie hit the floor on DTWS and she had a huge bump her head after. Hard to fake that people.
What made him announce he would be on DWTS if he wasn’t? He needs to not act so desperate for attention. All his time on ET is wearing viewers down.
In reply to those who say Donny just wants to revive himself the way Marie did, I would say that others have revived themselves with DWTS as well. So why not Marie and it obviously helped the rest of her family as well since we have seen more of them since her run than we had in years. I think that they have had it hard because they were at there peak so young. That is probably affecting their need for attention and assuming that every one wants to know the details of their life.
Do the Osmonds have some kind of ownership in Entertainment Tonite? They get sooo much air time.
