In what seemed like a spontaneous leak but was most certainly the first ripple in what is to become a vast ocean of Donny Osmond publicity over the next few months, Marie’s brother announced on The Bonnie Hunt Show that he’s part of ABC’s eighth bedazzled troupe of Dancing With the Stars contestants. He must really be itchin’ to permanently damage some random ligament. Or he wants to become popular again. It’s definitely one of those two.
Personally, all I can muster up about this news is a mildly sarcastic eye roll, and that’d only be if someone else was in the room. Right now, all alone in my crazy office, it’s just a blank stare. Donny Osmond. Every day on my TV screen (because you know he’ll be all over Extra!). For the next five months.

I didn’t finish out the season for the second year in a row. I don’t think I will watch past 2 weeks this time. I also heard that Federline was going to be on DWTS. Anyone know if that is true? How ridiculous.

Yes, Annie, I will pray for you. I for one, rather wait until the show to decide whether or not he should have been asked to join the cast of the new season. You and others may hate him but he’s been in show business for decades and deserves some respect. Also, would you like to be judged by what one of your siblings does? I highly doubt it! Aw, c’mon Annie! Donny is all sorts of cheese-tastic goodness! Did you see him in Weird Al’s “White and Nerdy” video? This is a guy who does not take himself too seriously. I think he’ll be a lot of fun and not nearly as obnoxious as his sister.
Used to like him when I was a teeny bopper but now….not so much. It’s funny, I saw that he was going to be on DWTS on a different website and pretty much quoted you word for word to my co-workers. I can’t stand him on Extra (or whatever tab show he’s on). Why does he suddenly think anyone cares about him)? All the Osmonds can just go away.
