As for the Cancun thing, I think it can still be a good show and not just a drunken orgy if they cast the right people. It won’t be a return to the old school format no matter what though because it’s unlikely any of the people would be able to pursue their real dreams in such a location.

Kit’s right that the San Diego season was one of the best. I’ll ignore the rest of his/her comments though. San Diego was great because it was so comedic. I don’t mean to slight Frankie’s problems because she did have many serious, revealing moments, and it’s sad that she’s now gone. But between Randy, Jacquese, Brad, and Robin, there was something hilarious in every episode. I still crack up thinking of when a drunken Randy, in an attempt to emulate Jacquese’s “Free Brad” sign, scribbled complete nonsense on a piece of paper as a sign of support.

Ur…wow. Get ready to see 20 something year olds acting like high schoolers!!! Drunken hook ups, arrests,etc. aren’t good habits for any adult but sure as heck makes interesting television!

Maybe I would be a little more optimistic if someone could explain to me what’s “real” about living in Cancun rent-free.
The Real World lost all credibility during the Miami season when they forced the roommates to work together at the same job. I had hoped Brooklyn was a return to form, but it’s like the pendulum has violently swung back the other way.

The brooklyn people are all ugly. They need to cast good looking people or I don’t want. I don’t care about the all tranny/gay cast. San Diego was the best year!

It’s going to take them away from what ever mandate they had to make the real world a much more mature reality show. I think taking it to a party location, you might produce another season of hookups, alcoholism and angst. I would prefer to see a more mature group of folks in a mature setting, but then I’m falling out of the target group for this show at age 25 and maybe I’m just a curmudgeon.
