i miss last season. i haven’t found anyone through the auditions that had the same charisma and WOW factor as last years contestants (haha, take your pick
but i’d like to say it’s the DAVIDs 
as for kara… i dunno, i still think she’s a great singer and song writer. i like her as a judge, but all of them together? it seems a bit too much. O.O

I was expecting some really really great singers since a girl i was writing some songs for decided to audition in July for this SF audition, and although made the call back in Sept,did not even make the “Judges” audition after the producer told her “This contest is for great singers,and you’re not one of them”.I’ve been a music teacher for 25 years,an Amercian Idol songwriter top 20 finalist in’07,and Brooke White’s former songwriting teacher/co-writer. I know this singer is for sure a great singer,if you heard her you too would be shocked why they did not even put her through to the judges.What are they thinking? No one was as good as this singer who was rejected,and I say this with alot of experience behind me.I guess they are just casting a reality show and not really “great” singers.

Just for kicks, I’ve been looking at the early season 8 recaps I never read, and watched this old Idolatry embedded in the recap.
It was so much fun seeing who you decided to talk about so early and what you had to say. Of all people to highlight when discussing people we didn’t get to see during audition weeks, you show Kris Allen! And Felicia Barton (she SO should have made top 12… sigh… yes, Jesse too).
It also amused me that in the SF recap, you weren’t too sure about our Allison…. just goes to show you can’t always go by a first impression.
Thanks for making Season 8 fun! Let’s go Kradison!
