Booth said he is from Philly and he also spent time in Pittsburg, familes can move about, but Booth is a Philly boy.

The hockey episode was fan-freakingtastic. Booth was awesome!

Three other times that Bones has acted “out of character”: going undercover in Vegas, singing and dancing to “Hot Blooded,” and karaoke singing and jumping around to “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Brennan seems to have a normal/fun side that breaks through every so often. I think that’s primarily due to Booth’s influence on her. But to say this out of character is so not right.

I thought it was cool how Kendra the vampire slayer was in hockey episode. I also thought it was cool that Booth and Brennen went ice skating, just like Angel and Buffy did the same episode that Kendra showed for the first time. Wonder if they did that on purpose??

Coyote, I understand that you’re trying to rally for Brennan, but I wouldn’t waste my breath. Some fans like Brennan, some don’t. That’s how fandom is. I don’t like Brennan. It’s just my choice not to go around saying things about her, because she’s not important to me. IMO, Brennan has been going OOC since season 3. You can’t sit there and tell me you haven’t noticed(I’m going to assume that you’ve been watching since the beginning). It’s not just Brennan. It seems the writers have been changing all the character traits to fit them to each episode. So, all the character traits go back and forth. That’s not called character development. It’s called lazy writing. IMO, they have lost all focus on character development, in favor of giving out shipper fodder. Every.single.episode. They need to bring the show back to balance and Brennan more in the lab, since she’s not an FBI agent. I mean, she’s been working on cases that don’t even involve bones. It’s ridiculous.

I liked the hockey episode a lot, and I like Wendell. And I do not want to have some other love interest to make Brennan jealous, who is writing this article???!! IT’s been done to death. The Circus ep was just to show Brennan’s chest, IMO. But it was still an OK episode. I like it when they can stray from being so serious all of the time, it’s more enjoyable and engaging and shows people’s character. To say that they drift from character is wrong, I think having characters not be one-dimensional is great and reflects most people because people can and do change.

I loved both episodes. I loved the sense of domesticity in them where Booth and Brennan were completely comfortable with each other.
I always love Brennan and this time she was having fun. It was great that she could let herself have fun. Most of the time she spends is with dead bodies so she needs to lighten up sometimes.
I especially loved Fire in the Ice where Brennan and Booth were so sweet at the end. I was touched that he said he wanted to spend time with her and she told him he was made of very, very good stuff. It was more personal than they have ever been before.
I want more sweet moments with them together exploring their personal relationship.
If they get closer and closer, then I don’t need as much UST.
Booth is always smoking hot to me, so I didn’t mention the locker room scene in particular. I love him in anything or not much at all.

I loved both episodes. I thought the circus episode was fun. I also love Wendell and I hope he stays for a bit. All in all, two enjoyable episodes. I’m not into procedural shows, in general. I watch this show because I love Boreanaz and Deschanel. If this was just a show about the crimes, I wouldn’t watch. It’s the interaction between the two of them and the other characters on the show that’s a draw for me. I enjoyed these episodes, and I’m glad that Bones is back!

phillyphilly: I see your point about the writers and character development, and don’t totally disagree. I was simply pointing out that this wasn’t the first time Brennan’s behaved this way. To me, the continuity is that, given the chance to break free of the constraints she imposes on herself, Brennan goes for it, however briefly. She doesn’t allow herself to be creative/hypothesize in the lab, but outside of it, with Booth there for support, she’s willing to break out of her “normal” behavior.
The show is about Booth and Bones, and how they relate. Kind of tough to do if Brennan is confined to the lab. Might as well change the title to “Booth” (which would no doubt please the David B. cult squad, but make for a much less interesting show).

Thanks for clarifying your side of the coin, Coyote :) I see where you’re coming from, now. I think the writers need to not let Brennan break out of that shell, too often. It’s as if they are trying to “mold” her to be “that” woman for Booth. I think it’s wrong. That’s why a lot of people complain about her and then the whole “brennan wouldn’t do that” arguments come into play. I don’t mean confine Brennan to the lab. I just think she needs to spend more time in the lab. That’s her job, you know? It’s supposed to be her love. What I loved about the show, in the first two seasons, was the dynamic of all the characters, working at the lab, and on the field helping Booth solve these cases. The episodes had meaning. As an non-shipper, that’s what I loved about the show. We don’t see that, anymore and the cases are meaningless, these days. It’s a shame. I understand it’s about Booth and Brennan and how they relate, but without the meaningful cases, and the amazing supporting cast, the show is getting repetitive and boring, imo. It seems like the same episode every week. BB out on the field bantering about the same stuff, quick scene with squints(the show needs more squints screen time, as much as I adore David), sweets two cents and BB special “moment” for the shippers at the end. I think that’s why a lot of people want to see Booth get a love interest, Brennan in the lab more often, or have the show focus more on the cases and character development for EVERY character. It keeps things interesting and less predictable. That’s how the show used to be. Now, you pretty much know what’s coming each week. LOL @ the DB cult squad. Hmm, I’ve been a Boreanaz fan since the first episode of Buffy in 1997. Does that make me a cult squad member? ;) Damn, there I go rambling, again lol

I enjoyed both episodes and still want to see Booth and Brennan together as a couple. I didn’t care for the FBI woman who was brought in. Who would really say “I prefer backseats myself” when questioning people about a murder? No one in a professional position would make such a remark and she anooyed me. Love Brennan’s character

  • Shelley

My favorite episode was the hockey episode. Agent Perotta was great. She treatf everyone with respect. And so what if she and Booth flirted. He’s goodlooking, she’s goodlooking. And about time Booth got a love interest and Brennan got jealous. Booth is just rawr!! Hot dang! Love me Booth, I do!

  • Coyote

phillyphilly: I hear what you’re saying and basically agree. Logical character development for all and an involving case to solve.
I enjoyed Boreanaz as Angel in both series, but I think this show really gives him a chance to show so many sides of his character. Not so broody. Although he was able to have fun as Angelus, and then with Spike on “Angel.” Those two made the cutest couple!

  • Carla

Hockey episode for the win! Booth was all passionate and firey, love him!
