I appreciate the love I’m feeling so hard on this board. But none of the latter posts have come remotely close to my central point; the lady was not elected, but Obama is now in power. With Obama in power, that means he should now be the target for comic fodder. This guy selects a guy who hasn’t paid taxes from 2000-2004 to be TREASURY SECRETARY. WTF? This guy makes campaign promises to do away with lobbyists, and who does he hire today? A lobbyist! Even The Daily Show demonstrated how close his speech resembled Bush’s rhetoric. Hypocrite! It’s not about race, but if you think it’s about race, then you must be yellow, and you got to be mellow. Or perhaps you’re a red man, and you’ve got to get AHEAD man! Or you’re white, and you’ve got to embrace what’s RIGHT. Eegads. I’ve got this feeling crawling up my leg telling me that you are ready to claim racism when it’s all about hypocrisy from the GUY IN POWER, and you’re too chicken to call his bluff.
Thank God “the lady” was not elected. Talk about inexperienced. And as for your screaming about lobbyists, one of them, Corr, lobbied for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids on his new department’s budget and a range of tobacco matters, including smoking prevention, curbing cigarette trafficking and making federal buildings smoke-free. (Those are horrible HORRIBLE things to be lobbying for, aren’t they, Nick?) Corr has decided to take no part in tobacco matters in the new administration.
“Our waiver provisions are designed to allow uniquely qualified individuals like Bill Corr to serve the public interest in these critical times,” said the president’s spokesman, Robert Gibbs. “Even the toughest rules require reasonable exceptions.” Asked by reporters Thursday about the waivers, Gibbs said only “a very limited number” will be issued. Nick, no response to my meeting your challenge to “hang Palin with her own words”? You just gonna let that one slide? Aren’t you going to defend your oh so wonderful Palin anymore?
One other thing Nick. If you get your news from The Daily Show, then you need to bow out of all political discussions. If the reason for that isn’t painfully obvious to you, then you really do have problems.

All Nick can do is call me a moron. Several days ago I said “I do not believe Obama is perfect, or above being made fun of.” So Nick can say I “missed his central point” but that also is not true.
