Sometimes all it takes is one quick cameo to remind you how much you miss a pop-culture personage. Take Tim Meadows’ in-character appearance on The Colbert Report last night. Just a couple minutes of Meadows sending up those absurd commemorative Obama keepsake/kitchenware ads sent me straight to his IMDB page to scope out what else he’s been working on*. Dude is hilarious! This is a fact that does not get mentioned often enough, in my opinion, and I am now making it my mission to fix this. How could we have taken Meadows for granted all through those 37 seasons of SNL he did? Also, he is a skilled salesman. Watch the clip below and tell me you aren’t a little tempted to call now and buy a few of those souvenirs Meadows and Stephen Colbert are pushing.
(*Sad answer: Supporting roles in something called Breast Picture – yikes — and Ashley Tisdale/Kevin Nealon vehicle They Came From Upstairs. Oh well.)

Yea. That mans hilarious. Ladies Man is one of the most underrated comedies to me. I mean he and Will Ferrel were awesome in that.
Is it just me or does the imdb page description of “Breast Picture” sound an awful lot like “Bowfinger”? Oh, Tim. How I miss you and your ginseng.
Yeah, he’s hilarious. He frequently appears in segments on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and they’re always good.
Yeah, he appeared on Craig Ferguson last week as a supposed correspondent on the ‘Golden Globes’, but in reality he was in Vegas for the porn awards. Pretty funny.
The porn awards seem apt, if he’s in movies entitled “Breast picture” and “They came from upstairs”.
He also did a legendary guest appearance on The Office as a client that Michael and Jan wined and dined at Chillis, and even sang a duet of the “I want my Babyback Ribs” song with Michael.
Is it just me or is Tim Meadows the black version of Stephen Colbert, and vice versa? They both have the same shaped head, and tone of voice and vocal inflection. they’re both hilarious too.
@Erin Holy crap I forgot about that! That is one of my all time favorite episodes and scenes from The Office. He was so great there. Too bad I don’t really see much of Tim Meadows anywhere.
This looked like a lame never-ending SNL skit to me.
