Connie, the banter between you and Kyle is so realistic and lived-in that if I were the real-life spouse of either of you, I would worry. How much of that great overlapping dialogue is scripted and how much is you and Kyle playing off each other and improvising?
I love FNL and can’t wait for season 3 to start! Is it difficult to work on a show that seems to be on the brink of cancellation every year? Does it affect your ability to focus on the work? Is it frustrating to be “on the brink” when critics seem to love the show so much and you have a core of devoted fans?
I’ll tell you what, Connie Britton… there’s no other actress like you… Emmy be damned!
Do you have a standout favorite season 1, 2, or 3 scene? If so, what is it? Which aspect of your character is your favorite to explore: Professional, Mother, or Wife?
Is there any particular aspect of the character of Tami you would like to delve into further, should we be fortunate enough to get another season? Personally, I can’t enough of Coach/Tami backstory.
Do you have a favorite Eric/Tami storyline/moment that you enjoyed exploring as an actress?
What’s the best and worst part of working with mostly younger actors, many of whom are in their first major role? (And do the horrible new NBC promos about “the hottest cast on TV!” make you cringe as well?)
At what point do we see serious friction occcur between you and Eric that doesn’t involve the jobs; the kids, etc. You are a very attractive, smart, hardworking professional who works long, hard hours. I can see a scenario where an attractive, smart teacher starts to flirt with you and you are taken aback because you are feeling some emotion in return and someone tells Eric – big mouth Buddy – what he sees. You realize you are missing some chemistry in your relationship and you and Eric face it head on like you usually do. You two are just too perfect!Would like to see you and Kyle act in this type of scenario. You would push so many buttons.
The show is great. This year much better than last. However, don’t want to see Taylor and
Milka graduate. They’re great.Live in TX and have son playing High School football and you get that so right.
