Earlier this week, when I used the "I think this line’s mostly filler" lyric from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode in the headline Read the full post.

Wow, way to promote tolerance.
Star Wars and Trek Fans who are apologists for the new stuff. I loved the original trilogy (Star Wars), and love Trek:TOS and TNG. But after that, both series kind of stank. When I hear a Star Wars fan defend Episode 1, or a Trek fan defend the odd numbered movies of DS9, it makes me throw up in my mouth a little.
At first, I did not like Grey’s Anatomy fans but now since there are barely any fans left, I can tolerate… Fans of Aaron Sorkin are usually pretentious yuppies… and going beyond t.v. and into the world of TWILIGHT- I HATE & LOATHE Twilight fans- especially the middle aged female fans who wear their Twilight t-shirts- especially (!) while getting Daniel Radcliffe to sign their Equus playbills– really, where the hell is the similarity??? EW of course only made Twilight worse for me…
Anyone who loves “The Hills” is in need of some serious medication.
American Idol. Hey, the music that comes from the winners, runner-ups, etc., just isn’t for me. It is not my commentary or protest on what music you like– it’s a free country to listen to whatever you like!
Whedon fans. It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s just that I don’t get what all the fuss is about. Buffy never did anything for me.
I kind of can’t stand fans of the Simpsons or Family Guy that endlessly quote from them despite the fact that they know the people they’re talking to do not watch the show and have no idea what they’re talking about. O maybe this isn’t a stereotype and just one person I’ve known…
For a moment I thought you said you hated LOST, which would be reason to hit you; disliking its fans hwoever is fine by me
Battlestar Galactica. When you tell them you don’t watch it they act like you just punched a baby
I’m a Lost fan who simply enjoys watching an hour of quality TV. It’s easy to do. And my fanhood has never been attacked by anyone whose fanhood is, shall we say, more voracious than mine. Don’t hate, participate!
Entourage fans…. the show’s pretty unspectacular once you get past the initial premise of a celebrity and his group of friends, yet fans of the show refer to it as if it were the comedy Messiah. I’ll say it now – Jeremy Piven = totally overrated.
Stef-
I agree with you about the Supernatural fans and not wanting any female characters around. They get so angry that none of the characters ever get fleshed out and then they push ‘em aside. I liked Katie Cassidy too. Not at first, but hey, they brought her back for more than one episode and she grew on me. Otherwise, I am a fan of the show and I think the reason people try to promote it on EW.com is because they want a little more SPN coverage and a lot less of AI and Twilight. EW- Maybe change up the roster a bit and put in the overlooked benchwarmers once in awhile.
star wars fans are particularly annoying- George Lucas is a hack… Even the original 3 are nothing more than entertaining pulp- It’s really sad when people think he is this amazing filmaker because really- he’s only done 3 movies his entire life (!)… its not like he reinvented the wheel or anything… he cant even do anything creative like do something new…
Sports fans!!! Earth to Sports fans….1) the players can not hear you. 2) if your wife comes home dying of an illness, then you can be upset. If you team lost in the playoffs…you can not be upset.
3) (along the same lines as 2) DO NOT PRAY YOUR TEAM WINS….God is busy helping sick people…..Your team needs to win on their own and 4) Get A Life!!!
I have to agree with Wendy, Veronica Mars fans. When is show is over let it go. There are many shows I love that go away too soon, but I don’t talk about it for years bemoaning that fact
