I LOVED this movie growing up! My brother and I would rent it almost everyweek. Why I haven’t bought this yet is beyond me…
Yes! You seriously made my day. Now I want to watch the whole thing! Luckily I have it on my iPod. “Throw me a lifesaver!” “Butterscotch or wintergreen?”
Classic.
I seriously loved this movie growing up. Do you remember when they do the “Freddy” with the old folks? Or those backpacks with expandable closet space? classic.
to Erinn. We do the freddie at work on a weekly basis. LOL
LOVED this movie. Watched it over and over again with my brothers. The 3 of us even danced the Freddy last year at my wedding. Good times.
Such a great movie. I love seeing Shelley Morrison in this as well. Who knew she’d go on to be Rosario?
hahaha! i was quoting this movie out of nowhere last week and now EW has made my psychic dreams come true! haha Phyllis Neffler the muffler man’s wife!…
“can we go now?”
“NOT UNTIL WE SING ‘KUMBAYA’”
hahahhahahahhahaha!!!!!! i love this movie– i’m gonna go do the Freddy now
Haha awesome! Love this movie!
I love that movie, and that quote especially. I throw it out in the oddest of occasions and no one ever knows what I’m talking about.
Oh God I would watch this movie CONSTANTLY when I was a kid. Thanks, PopWatch!
Trivia – cute redhead girl (daughter?) is indie singer Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley and Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins. Check out her new album Acid Tongue.
I too loved this movie growing up. There are so many good moments in the movie, plus a brunette Tori Spelling as one of the Red Feathers. I always hated the Red Feathers troop leader. That’s so weird about Jenny Lewis, I never made the connection, thanks DV.
I love this movie, but my old VCR decided to eat my copy of it and I haven’t been able to find it anywhere on DVD. Must check Amazon.
Annie Barrett. You are my hero for posting this!!
This was my sister’s favorite movie growing up. I don’t know how many times I watched it! I love it now only for the fact that Jenny Lewis is in it!
I love Jenny Lewis!
