You know, for the most part, I take EW’s advice on these amazing shows nobody watched (RIP Arrested Development…), but the one thing I have never bother with is Friday Night Lights. I just cannot get past the football. I HATE football. HATE. For whatever reason, I saw that FNL movie from forever ago and HATED it more than anything I’d ever seen on a screen before. I just cannot STAND football. And the rest of the show never seemed worth it if I even had to withstand half a minute of that awful game.
MY must list:
Scrubs-The show that never dies, however NBC thrashed it around. I like where the final season is going based on those two first episodes, especially that second one (steak night!).
The Hunger Games-I have been intrigued ever since reading Stephen King’s column on it, and I finally got it for Christmas and whipped through it in a couple of nights. I love the biting satire of a reality TV and image-obsessed culture, and the fact that there’s going to be a sequel.

Thanks for the FNL shout out! I love the support from the magazine, because it is so completely deserved. There is not a character on TV that is more relate-able than Connie Britton’s Tammie.

Britney Spears’ Circus video. When she warbles “I’m like the ringleader, I call the shots,” I actually believe her. Brit hasn’t been this present or engaging since Toxic.
While we’re in the Britney vein, I’ve been addicted to various Brit covers on YouTube. Some faves:
- Lily Allen’s slow, breathy take on ‘Womanizer’
- The All American Rejects’ K-Fed-inserted version of ‘Womanizer’
- Sia’s ‘Gimme More’ interpretation.
Thirdly, and I admittedly am extremely late in my admiration, but I can’t stop listening to Lykke Li’s Youth Novels album. After perusing several year-end lists, this humble but energetic gem stood out the most overall.

I’m with you all the way on this Jean – Friday Night Lights will ALWAYS be on my Must List. Forever and ever.
Hope you keep writing about the show and recommending it coz it deserves to be seen. I’ve already converted countless friends to FNL-fandom.
Also on my Must List – the 2nd season of Damages. Killer show. Pun very much intended

Friday Night Lights for sure! Keep writing about it so more people will watch. Best show you’ve never seen. You can watch it on nbc.com as well. On another note, grey’s anatomy used to be on my Must List, but now I can’t even be bothered by any of that nonsense.

And since I only listed 2, I’m going to go with Josh for my 3rd Must and say Frost/Nixon – great movie, great cast. Just wish they would actually release it into more than 4 theaters in NJ (literally…FOUR).

Right now, I’m loving the continued antics of Top Chef: New York. They’re letting TWO chefs go home tonight!
Video game wise, DC vs. Mortal Kombat is keeping me up at night.

The Ting Tings are playing in my car everyday.
Scrubs is back hooray! Plus the addition of Courteney Cox is fabulous, no one does funny neurotic quite like her.
Confessions of a Teen Idol and Rock of Love Bus make for – can’t believe I’m watching this yet can’t look away – TV heaven. I was wondering what I would do without Rock of Love Charm School but VH1 filled the void beautifully.
