This will teach me to take a vacation. Twilight’s Robert Pattinson cut his hair before the holidays, and I totally missed it. I only found out about it now because I saw this headline on People’s website: PEOPLE Readers Sound Off on Pattinson’s New Cut. I cannot believe that people actually spent time debating whether he looked hotter before or after…when clearly, the answer is after. Only 56 percent of People readers agree with me. I know that means my side technically won, but it’s just too small a margin of victory for me to be happy on a slow news day. I am confident that PopWatch readers will right this wrong in our poll below — and come in somewhere around 75 percent in favor of the new look (which, I imagine, has also severely trimmed the number of fans recognizing and attacking him in public — well done, you).
Also, I have a theory that women over the age of 30, like myself, will largely prefer the shorter cut, which makes the 22-year-old Pattinson look older. Am I right?

okay I was a fan of the Twilight book series (except for the God awful 4th book that kind or ruined the series for me.) but the Twilight mania has GOT TO STOP! You people sound like 12 year old girls. So he got a haircut–WHO CARES!

Mandi, are you my secret best friend? I had this conversation with my younger sister over Christmas. I am 29 and LOVE LOVE LOVE the new haircut. It makes him look older AND just the right amount of dirty now. Before he looked homeless. My younger sis (also 22) liked it longer. Kids today….

As an over 25, I just have to feel bad for poor Robert Pattinson! He can’t even get a haircut without all this uproar in the press and online. Regardless, he’s a handsome guy with or without the mane – if you want to keep seeing him; support his films and you can enjoy all you want!

I can’t believe people are still talking about this. I’m 29 and only liked his hair in the movie because he actually looked clean. Other than that he just looks nasty all the time. He does nothing for me. At least now, he is more clean cut. But whatever gets your panties in a bunch.

YES!! I agree. He looks WAY better with his hair short. I also think he looks more British (if that means anything) which is a BIG plus in my book. And I love this media obsession with Twilight. Helps me get away from the crappy world we live in. I rather discuss RP’s hair than think about my declining house value. : )
He’s the fab of year. Just like brad pitt, tom cruise, and all the other actor who are make a hit movie when their young. Than as they get older we move on to the next best hot young actor. Give it a rest.
Long or short and he’s hot. Infact I’ve never had a crush like this. The Pitt’s of this world have never done anything for me. Rob’s like a Valentino for the 21st Century.
Who cares? Maybe he wanted a rest from it getting so long. It’s like his english friends say “Why is everybody making such a big deal about your hair.” It’s his own personal preference and a girl should like him for who he is not what he looks like…….
