Clip du jour: 'A Charlie Brown-Scrubs Christmas'

Tags:

You may have seen it before, but ’tis the season to repeat it: The hospital sitcom brings its delightfully sarcastic tone to perennial holiday favorite A Charlie Brown Christmas with J.D. as Charlie Brown, Carla as Lucy, and Dr. Cox as Linus. Choice Cox quote: ”If a tree falls in the forest and no one’s around to hear it, are you still a dumbass?”

I remind myself to watch this every season. This is like the stuff Scrubs used to have, when it was fantastic quality. Now it’s just kind of the same recycled humour.

This is still funny my 3rd time watching it, I love Scrubs!

  • Sharnita

I am a fan of Scrubs but I did not find this the least bit funny.

    Go, Scrubs!

  • Miss B

Wow. Way to totally miss the point of Christmas. The stuff at the beginning was kinda funny, but for the most part, this was lame.

  • razor

    i concur—lame.

  • Amelia

This kind of ruins the sweetness of the original, couldn’t watch it all.

  • Winona

How did I miss that?! That’s awesome!!!

Did those of you who said it wasn’t about Christmas watch the whole thing? It was in keeping with the original, but had the scrubs spin to it. I loved Dr. Cox (Linus) telling us about friendship. And how could you not laugh when the janitor said he had the best place for the christmas tree?
