You won’t see it anywhere outside EW.com, folks. We have exclusive access to Chapter 1 of The Associate, the new book (on stands Jan. 27) from John Grisham — ya know, the guy who wrote A Time to Kill…and The Pelican Brief…oh, and a little tome called The Firm? Here’s a taste from the new one: "With four minutes left in the game, Coach Kyle looked down the bench, nodded at a somber and pouting little boy named Marquis, and said, ‘Do you want to play?’"
For those of you who hate cliffhangers, never fear: EW.com will also be posting Chapters 2, 3, and 4, one each every Friday through Jan. 9. (Of course, you still have that cliffhanger problem, but at least you can defer it for three weeks….) So, PopWatchers, do YOU want to play?
