Site of the Day: Jane Seymour's Kay Jewelers line

Categories: Site of the Day

Seymour_jewelry2Dr. Quinn Medicine woman has herself a gig selling jewelry that looks an awful lot like a part of the male anatomy. The tagline? "If your heart is open, love will always find its way in." Okay. ‘Nuff said.

And here I thought the design just looked like two butts.

  • CAB

No part of my anatomy looks like that.

  • CAB

Although I have thought of a better tagline: “Every f**k ends with Kay”

  • stephanie

    Boobs & butt actually

  • Auds

Male? The design looks like a woman from the back, twisting around to the front. T&A lol.

  • Seamus

Editor: Any chance you could correct YOUR error? (not you’re – hint hint) The ad has it right.
    Evidence:
“If you’re heart is open, love will always find its way in.”

Yeh, I’m not really seeing the male anatomy. I am seeing something really cheesy tho! Looks like Avon from the 70’s.

  • cranky

We call that the “butt-heart” at our house.

  • MsDaisy

Jane is a beautiful woman. Her jewelry design, however, is atrocious.

  • mscisluv

I just think it looks cheesy – but it definitely doesn’t look like any part of the male anatomy that I am aware of…

  • Anne Marie

Agree with boobs and butt. Actually, while her commercial is playing and she’s talking about all the open heart nonsense, I usually think “didn’t someone at Kay tell her that it looks like a boobs and butt.” OR, I think of her espousing the importance of a boobs and butt pendant in her very serious tone.

Every kiss may begin with Kay, but every bang begins with Tiffany’s.

  • susan

Well I see it clearly. I looks like a guy’s balls.

  • Lynny

From the first commercial for that, I was like, ugh. It just looks chunky and cheeseball. Never noticed that it looked like a part of the male anatomy, but you are right, it does.

  • Andie

sadly, I see exactly what Pop Watch sees. i wish I didn’t, but I do.

  • My Name

Am I the only one who finds Jane exceedingly hot? I mean I’m 20 and think she smokes a good 60-70% of her contemporaries. Just thought I’d put it out there. And yes, the design of the pendant is…awkward. As for the commercial, it’s no more tug-at-the-heart-strings-gag-me-with-a-spoon than most of the other commercials at around this time. The one that really gets me is the man and his deaf girlfriend. I get the feeling they haven’t been together very long and yet he’s buying expensive jewerly for her.

    To Seamus:
Shame on you! EW has it RIGHT. It’s “your heart” not “you’re.”
“You’re” is a contraction for “you are.” Try “you are” in the sentence and you can see it doesn’t make sense.

  • BrandonK

Hm, why is this post anonymous? Could it be that nobody at Pop Watch wants to admit how in the gutter their minds are? LOL

  • Tommie

I think the jewelry is beautiful. Im sorry. Nothing on my husbands body looks like this. I got married around the time this first came out. I had to have it. It looked beautiful on my neck and ears and people raved about it all night. Plus I love the meaning behind it.

  • Shasta

Looks like T n’ A… I totally love Dr. Quinn, though.

  • EvilCornbread

I always thought it looked like a sheepish Zorro.

  • Bethann

I agree with Shast–I always thought it looked more like T and A, but now that you mention it…

  • Toot Rambler

    He went to Jared.

  • Pam

I have one of her necklaces anf it’s beautiful. Everytime I wear it someone says something nice, Get your head out of where it don’t belong!!!!

  • Karen

When I first saw this ‘design’, I thought it was a weird looking big ‘Z’. It is just a terrible design. Sorry:)
