Doing what she does best, the Hasselbot made headlines this week following a doozy of a View on Tuesday in which she took issue with not being invited to this year’s White House Christmas party. "Maybe I didn’t do enough for the Republican Party this year?" she asked. (Well, they did lose — badly — last month, so I guess that depends on your definition of "enough"?)
After the show, a member of the Bush Administration reportedly phoned Hasselbeck to apologize, claiming that her not being invited was a mere oversight. Apparently, even George "Bring ‘Em On" Bush knows hell hath no fury like a Hasselbot scorned.
Then, for part 2 of Tuesday’s headline-making turn, Hasselbeck later went head-to-head with Melissa Etheridge over California’s Prop 8 gay marriage issue (the clip after the jump — the ‘Bot was actually quite fair and reasonable in the exchange, but it is still mighty good TV).
Anyone catch The View yesterday? What other Hasselbeck moments have we missed in recent weeks? Please keep us in the loop. We luvs us some Hasselbeck.

i stoped watching ‘the view’ b/c of her. just let me know when she gets fired from ‘the view’ and ends up in fox news oblivion. thanks.
*stopped
How is it that this vile, vapid woman is still on television? Nothing brings me more joy than imagining Hasselbeck’s reaction when she realized that McCain lost the election. Guess you backed the wrong horse, huh Lizzy? There’s nothing worse than a person who walks the Earth with an undeserved sense of entitlement. Aren’t Republicans embarrassed to have their party associated with this histrionic mess?
Hail Hasselbot. She is one true voice of reason that is a thorn in the side of bleeding heart libels.
Toodles…. *sigh*. I don’t understand your reasoning. If Elisabeth weren’t on The View, they would have to change the name of the show to “One Single View”. Just because your opinion doesn’t match up doesn’t make hers invalid. It’s kind of selfish to act like yours is the only view that is correct…. plus- Serioulsy? You quit watching the view because of one person? Did you know that there are like 4 other people on the show that don’t share her opinions?? Seriously?
Hasselbeck is a legend in her own mind. She needs to get over herself. Geez.
This show needs to be removed from tv…stale, predictable, and yes, at one, point, it was interesting hearing and tuning in to see what ‘hot topics’ were going to be discussed. Now, they scream and out-talk each other to make their points. They seem to be tolerating each other too at this point. Joy says she likes Lizzy, but it’s so obvious she doesn’t. Reminds me of when a beyotch in h.s. didn’t like you. Babawa needs to retire.. she makes me tired hearing her talk. Sherry just needs to go away. Whoppi has demeaned herself with this crew.
allie, my problem with EH is not that her view is different from mine, the problem is that she is uninformed. She can only spout talking points. She has NO original thoughts, no worldview outside her own narrow experience. She is ignorant.
i swear americna liberal are biggest hypocrates that walk the face ofthe earth.. they bang the drum of diversity!! free speech..etc.. that is unless you are on the other side of the table from you.. and the hurl rocks and name call like five yr olds.
EH’s only crime is she is republican.
I personally dont agreee with everything she has said but she is still an amazing role modle for young women to stand by their own convictions and not let anyone tell you our oipinions and belief are wrong.
The part of Elizabeth’s that I take exception to is when she vehemently and defensively attacks any time that any of the others says anything that is remotely negative to the Republican Party, at least during the election. It was completely predictable when she would turn a question posed to her about republican rhetoric and wouldn’t answer the question but would say, ‘well, Obama looks up to Rev. Wright’, or say something else out of right field. But I do enjoy when they actually debate topics with thoughtfully and with respect.
this show lost any credibility years ago as to being relative. back in the day it really was interesting and fun. not a huge fan of Elizabeth but she is no more irritating than Joy. Both need to chill.
There ARE women with conservative points of view who would be excellent on the show. Unfortunately (for us), we got stuck with Elizabeth.
Elisabeth:
Answer the question Melissa asked you!
Oh, and the answer is not under your short skirt! Good lord!
Priggish sows like Hasselbeck give women and conservatives a bad name.
All of you lberals hate her because she’s young and beautiful. Your tyical liberal women like Bahar and Golberg epitomize how dog ugly and mean spirited most liberal women are. Just a fact, gals.
I find it odd that she doesn’t understand that human rights shouldn’t be left up to a vote. There’s a reason the higher courts exist. How thick is this girls skull?
And why is she offended that she didn’t get invited to Bush’s X-mas party? Thats like someone wanting to take a rowboat out to the Titanic to party as it sank.
Dan, you’ve just demonstrated with mind-numbing clarity what an ignorant, brainless swine you are. You and Hasselbot have a lot in common.
To Dan: Yes, we hate her because she’s beautiful. You win the prize for the stupidest comment ever.
bj: LOVE the Titanic comment!
That SO made my day to read that Hasselbot can’t even get invited to the GOP Xmas party. Just another shining example of what a total loser she is! (“Oversight” my butt, Bushie! Maybe somebody should throw a shoe at this man and actually hit him, might finally knock some sense into that empty beachball of a head of his)
Please, please, please, stop paying attention to her and mentioning her. Maybe then this “reality” person who has stuck around well past her sell-by date will finally go away, never to be heard from again.
How closed-minded are you? Not all liberal women are unattractive, sarcastic women. I’m 25 and look more like Elizabeth Hasselbeck than Joy Behar (and so do all of my liberal friends) but we would never, ever think like her.
She’s young and pretty. However, take off all of that stage make-up and she is just an average Republican mother of two with dyed blonde hair who overracts whenever Democrats are mentioned.
I can respect and appreciate Elisabeth Hasselbeck because she’s a strong voice for the young conservative community. Blatantly hating her for voicing her opinion is pretty narrow-sighted, hostile, and – frankly – typical of many members of the liberal community.
I’m a Democrat. I don’t agree with everything Elisabeth says, and I certainly think I could out-argue her. But I respect that, for once, a beautiful young conservative woman is voicing her beliefs with some conviction. Her party could use more Hasselbecks and fewer Palins.
THE BEST PART IS WHEN THEY ARE ALL YELLING AND ELIZABITCH HAS SOMETHING TO SAY AND THEY GO TO COMMERCIAL…HAHAHAHA I WAIT FOR THAT MOMENT AND LAUGH OUT LOUD EVERYTIME.
I love it! Leave her on the show. The more people see what a moron she is the better. The fact that there are republicans on here defending her is even better. If you want to have a woman who pulls statistics out of her butt whenever she needs it or just acts like a complete moron then great! She is only doing your party more harm. That’s the funny part. Her supporters don’t even see this cause they’re just as vapid as she is. Before the accusations start flying, yes I am a democrat but I know a lot of Republicans, women too, who make valid points and speak with intelligence. I say leave her on the show and let her dig herself in a grave. She probably wasn’t invited cause someone in the Republican party probably realized she was more damaging than helping…LMAO
and her brother in law BLOWS along with the rest of the SEAHAWKS! I know that was uncalled for but i hate the Seahawks, and not because of her…lmao.
Ohhh you poor thing, you didnt get your invite to the White House? What a horrible thing!! Someone needs to pop her freaking balloon. She is such a nobody!
Hasselbeck said to Etheridge and the panel that Gay Marriage is not a personal issue but a political one and she stands by the voted majority. How convenient. I wonder if she,(and many others)would still use that position if they weren’t legally entitled to share “life’s moments” with their spouse. I also wonder if she would feel the same if the “legal” issue was a woman’s right to teach (once a law that the “majority” voted against) or a woman’s right to even vote on gay marriage. I’ll never cease to be amazing at how those who attain rights to equality seem to be okay with others being left behind. There was a time when Hasselbeck could only have been on t.v sharing the recipes that made her husband happiest, not giving political opinion and passing out educational information. If she wants to take her bible so literally, she should remember that women are never to hold teaching positions above a man and resign The View to suffer in childbirth to please her husband.
I can’t stand this woman, not because she is a Republican, but because she is a moron.
Eisabeth has proven with all tis “activist judges ruling from the bench” BS that she has never taken a civics class in her life. That’s what their job is, to interpret rules & laws and the constitution of the U.S. Both the CA and US Constitutions have an equal protection clause and THAT is why the judges legalized gay marriage – because constitutionally (14th Amendment) its illegal not to.
