JEN – I agree and was just saying the same thing on the IMDB Hills message board. It’s eerie how much Spencer is like Paul Snider and Heidi like Dorothy. Only difference is Heidi is either too stupid or too drunk/drugged to recognize Spencer for what he really is. Sad.

I’m starting to get a whole Dorothy Stratten/Paul Snider (from the true story/movie Star 80) vibe from these two tools.”
I don’t watch the show, but these recaps make my Tuesday mornings! I have to comment on the rings. One word: HIDEOUS. Those rings alone would have made most women say hell to the no. Come on, US Weekly/MTV, as unlikable and stupid as these people are, you could have gone somewhere other than Kmart for those things; if only to make it a little more believable. Its interesting how this show has cannibalized itself by virtue of the fact that these kids have become celebrities. Most people who watch this stuff also read tabloids, so even they know its all fake. A few seasons ago, there were up to 50 pages worth of comments on each recap. Now we’re down to a page (stop slacking off, people, I need entertainment!!!). Frankly, it surprises me that anyone over 16 is still watching.
I seriously cannot believe the frustration and anger I feel watching these two FAKE people walk around like this and act like total idiots when there is so much more to focus on in the world today – PLEASE, we BEG you MTV, KICK OFF HEIDI AND SPENCER!!!!!
Don’t forget that for this wedding to be legal that there is all kinds of red tape to go through. Just because they were wedded in Mexico doesn’t make it legal in the states…they have to apply to the courts to make it legal. So technically in the states they are still single.
In the previews for the new season, it shows Spencer talking to Heidi’s mother about going to the courthouse to make the wedding legal. I really wish someone would do an intervention on this girl so she realizes that one day he may end up hurting her. She is so brainwashed and he has such psychotic tendencies!!! His proposal alone would have made me run away…FAST!
Heidi is going to realize she made a HUGE MISTAKE!!!and Spencer has been keeping her away from the world by not having any friends and just him. And it was sad to see Whitney go she was the only one who had sane explanations and the down to earth one….i felt bad for lauren her crying.
My uphill moment was when Justin Bobby said “you should put up some signs” priceless!!! i literally died of laughter.
When she brought out the champagne to Spencer, she looked like she should be working the main pole at the Crazy Horse in Vegas. I literally felt myself heave when in watched them in Mexico.
At Whitney’s party I could see Lauren being upset, but Lo and Audrina? Bad acting on thier part.
I also have to say that Stephanie is completely clueless!!! When Justin Bobby said the funniest line on The Hills ever…she looked at him and her facial expression did not change. I think she actually thought he was serious…or she was trying to figure out if he was. Either way, this girl needs a clue before she winds up like her new sister-in-law.
Honestly people, these people are playing a role and laughing all the way to the bank. Of course Heidi and Spencer aren’t really married (legally-stateside) but what’s more fun to watch than kids who can spell Mexico get married there for the whole world (minus the smart people who don’t watch this show) to see.
Seriously, they probably all are very nice people who are being paid to act otherwise. It’s not reality…
I agree Lauren did seem geniunely sad over Whitney leaving… it was one of the few moments that made last nights episode bareable… the first has to be Jbob’s sign posting comment..hysterical.. I think its sick that to expand there 15 minutes Speidi would go as far as to get married, and make there families miserable… I mean for Heidi not to care that she hurt her mother is ridiculous..because she can’t possibily be as dense as she seems… I mean she HAS to know that spencer is an IDIOT… sheesh.. I hate them both… I want the old Heidi back..oh the good old days when spencer wasn’t around.. and Heidi didn’t look like a blow up doll.. :sigh:
You cannot just “get married” in Mexico. Well you can but it is not legal in the US or there either. You have to go early, get blood tests, fill out a ton of paperwork, and have witnesses. It is not easy.
I cannot even stand thinking about the fakers, so let me just say that the genuineness of Lauren and Whitney’s goodbyes was really sweet…and yes, JB was hilarious, and Audrina didn’t get it either!
These people are marketing geniuses! They make a ton of money because of idiots who watch this garbage and read tabloids. The only way to get rid of them for good is to change the channel every time you see them on TV and don’t buy any magazine that has ever mentioned their names. Do you think US Weekly would put them on the cover if they didn’t know for a fact that it would sell magazines? All of you people who hate these 2 are extending their 15 minutes by remaining interested in them. Would this recap even exist if EW knew that no one would comment on it? In fact, I think this is no longer on the TV Watch section because of the lack of comments this season. Yes, I realize I’m not helping by writing this. I teach a media literacy course and am using this show as an example. Call me crazy, but the reaction of young people to this kind of thing is endlessly fascinating to me.
I never liked Justin-Bobby more than when he said “You should put up some signs.” Stephanie’s reaction was priceless.
OMG! I just found out that everytime you type “Speidi”, MTV gives Spencer a dollar!!!!!!!!!! So stop typing that, ’cause you’re making the creepie rich!!!! LOL!!!!!
