Site of the Day: 'Bush's Boot Camp'

Categories: Site of the Day

Can’t get enough of that video of an Iraqi journalist chucking his shoes at George W. Bush at a news conference? This time-waster game can help. You’re an agent, with a pair of pistols, tasked with shooting down footwear being hurled at a duckin’-and-dodgin’ prez. Question: Did they ever create a "Hunting With Cheney?" flash game?

Every member of the mainstream media is completely DERANGED when it comes to President Bush. Whatever you think of him, have some respect for the office of the presidency. I’m not a fan of Barack Obama (certainly didn’t vote for him), but if someone threw shoes at his head, I would not make light of it.

I agree with you melissa. although if you watch the clip it looks like the President is giving a “what the hell is happening here?!? a shoe!??” look. though the situation is not a funny one in reality, and people should realize it after their initial “somebody threw a shoe!!” surprise/funny reaction. that being said, respect for the office would be nice. I know I will respect Pres Obama for the office he holds, even if I disagree with his policies. But these two comments will probably spark a fight. please don’t start one. let’s all just stay chill
that ALL being said…onto more important issues with this post. the game makes no sense!!! Maybe it’s because I’m working off no sleep, but I can’t figure it out. The shoes disappear before you can shoot…
    JEEEEEZZZZZZ.

Are you kidding me? Common! Instead of promoting a stupid game about the incident, we should be expressing our outrage that some would do that to our President. Like him or not, agree with him or not, he is still the President.

  • Sara

I agree with everyone else. Even if you don’t like him, he is still our leader and represents our country. We should be outraged, not making a stupid joke. Shame on you, EW, for your complete lack of respect for the office of President.

  • OhPlease

I love the level of outrage over this incident. Understand that I am not saying that it is appropriate to throw footwear at a political leader, but seriously people if you could have gotten half as angry at Bush’s lies that led to a false war, alot of Americans would not be dead and no one would have been throwing shoes in the first place. Please try to direct your rage toward more serious issues. Where is the rage for bailed out companies throwing lavish parties? Parents who lock their children in basements for years? Politicians who sell senate seats and corrupt the system? School boards that repeatedly fail our teachers and children? How about a little outrage toward a president who used the fear in his citizens to get away with the most corrupt government in American history? If the citizens had demanded impeachment, as they should have, Bush would not even have been in Iraq dodging loafers!!

Ha. First of all, I wasn’t outraged. Just asked EW to show a little tact. Your presumption that we aren’t outraged about all those other things just because we don’t think it’s appropriate to laugh about a pro-Saddam (yes, he works for an Egyptian news station that has always been pro-Saddam) journalist throwing his shoes at OUR president is ridiculous.

  • to Ohplease

I guess if this site had a game that glamorized people locking their kids in the basement, you might see some outrage. But instead it chose to post a juvenile game that encourages violence. I dislike Bush with a passion and know he is to blame for the ruination of our country (along with all the greedy folks) but I didn’t even bother to open the game. It is wrong. So make your own site to deal with those issues and we wil ove you our opinions. But since we are at this site, I will focus on the topic, which is this stupid game. I don’t think every action requires a reaction trying to make light of it.

    1. The shoe thrower studied at the Nikita Kruschev school of foreign affairs.
Is the shoe throwing right? No. And yes, the idiot journalist was pro-Saddam, but still you have to admit that out of all of our leaders, GWB is not so hot. Thank heavens he’s leaving office.
