With the demise of DSM and Eli Stone, I am now free to read every night of the week. They wonder why their network ratings are down, many of us are not watching tv at all any more. They will not leave a show on that has good writing, wit and interesting characters. I can’t stand the so called sitcoms and don’t watch crime or medical shows, so goodby tv, except for Brothers and Sisters, I am done!
Wow what a coincidence last night due to a snow storm I cleaned up my DVR and watched my many DSM epsiodes that had sat there for weeks. The verdict is I am addicted again and can’t wait until this week’s episode – so take my advice don’t watch because it will only lead to heart break when you realize there is no future in the relationship, its over.
I really enjoy MOWE and I don’t think people gave it the chance it deserved. Christian Slater is great! Yes I agree that some of the writing early on was not so good but since the first couple of episodes it has really been good. I wished I had it on DVR so I can replay them over and over.
DSM is definitely worth watching, but approach it like a miniseries, where you know there is an end and that – according to the exec producer, there will be closure by the final episode. And quite frankly, Natalie Zea makes it very much worth the ride.
Slezak, you’re killing.. I’m avoiding all reminders of the callous murders by ABC of my favorite shows..In one fell swoop they killed off DSM, Eli and Daisies.. I am going to become an avid viewer of the “original programming” on cable networks. As for cleaning out the DVR, I am at 79% FULL because I am waiting until all of the final episodes have aired then doing a weekend marathon of each show with a box of kleenex nearby. *sob..They each deserve a proper sendoff. I hope ABC execs will hear my wretched sobbing in their corporate offices. *sob..no more gratuitous shots of Blair shirtless. *sob…DO we really need 4 more years of Desperate Housewives? *Moan..
Thanks for reminding me. I will NOT watch ABC for a term of 1 year. That means no Grey’s Anatomy for 1 year. ABC sucks! To cancel three shows that made me watch TV again? Sucks.
I think DSM has been good this season. I mean it’s outlandish but that what is supposed to be. Last week’s episode was amazing. Anyways, whether you like it or not it is definitely worth it just to see Natalie Zea. The best scene from this season was when Karen and Lisa finally had their battle royale!
(Nick walks in)
Lisa: Karen just walk away
Karen: Why? You know he is just going to watch my ass when I turn around.
AHH i will miss DSM just because of scenes like that.
I just hope some amazing show snaps up Natalie Zea fast, because she is amazing.
I stopped watching “My Own Worst Enemy” when I heard the news that it was cancelled, but I never fell completely in love with that show. I did watch it tonight, however. It was rather good. “Dirty, Sexy, Money,” on the other hand, I say watch it. It’s good soapy dramatic fun. I love that show! I’ll truly miss it.
I know the feel exactly! I have a pile of DSM episodes as well. I loved the show but now that it is cancelled I am not quite as compelled to watch. I do want to know what happens though!!
A DSM marathon is probably in my future!
Say it ain’t so DSM. I love this show. It is so fun. I will continue to watch it and hope ABC learns its lesson.
I like Dirty Sexy money..but I really think Peter Krause is a WAY too Great of an actor to be on a Fluffy show like DSM- I really hope he goes back to do a series for either HBO or Showtime- that’s where he belongs!
Dirty Sexy Money is such a great show and I’m really disappointed that ABC decided to cancel it. I became invested in the characters from the first episode. It’s a witty, funny, and sexy show with a talented cast and great writing. I’m really going to miss watching this show and am hoping that some other network picks it up.
What I do when a show has been cancelled , but I still have a few weeks on my tivo? I delete the episodes without viewing. I see no reason to watch the episodes and wonder “what would have been”?
As long as you’re pushing those “Daisies” ’til the end, Slezak, you’re doing the right thing.
