Regarding fan favorite award. I have suggestion that would probably resolve million dollar winner from winning both title; sole survivor & fan favorite.
During first half of reunion show CBS should announce 3 survivor players with highest votes for fan favorite award. Then reunion audience should be able to vote from those 3 survivors f.e. Matty, Sugar & Bob
CBS would announce the fan favorite winner(most likely Sugar judging from audience reaction) just before introducing next season.

    Great Blog Jeff
I’ve just finished watching Gabon, i’m from Australia. Really enjoyed series 17, and look forward to Brazil, hopefully our survivors won’t be brats for season 18. Matty was easily the best male survivor imho, really good guy with a huge heart. Sugar, you’re a star and should be a regular on TV in 1 form or another, The best example of good human nature i’ve seen for a while. Corrine, your delusions of grandeur are hilarious. Yes it’s unfortunate that your not as smart as you’d like to be,it’s also unfortunate you where invited to the re-union, no network will pick you up as will no partner as long as you have the narcissism of a whiny teenage boy with poor social skills. I really like Randy, he bought alot of fun to the show. Ken blindsiding Charlie was brilliant, Charlie getting romantic with bob? thanks for the visuals charlie, um, shallow,,,,, princess.
Again, thanks Jeff, u rock! The show just gets more interesting!

Jeff Probst:If this were a “fair” game, which it often is not – Sugar would have received a few votes and Susie would have none
Why are you so hard on Susie. She played same game as Bob, under the radar and coattailing. Susie won 2 immunity challenges and Bob three. You cant just praise Bob and give none to Susie. They played the same game. A least Susie had a hand in voting out strong player Marcus. What strategic move did Bob do without help from Sugar?. Nothing
In a “fair” game in my books, Sugar should have won becase she was the best player in Gabon.

I agree with Jeff Suze did nothing to deserve winning the game. Bob did well but Sugar payed the best game and should have won

On the last and most important challenge of the game, the producers purposefully selected the only type of challenge that they knew Susie had an unfair advantage in:
“my parents could never afford to take us to the movies or anything like that. Part of our entertainment was:
my dad would give us 3-4 decks of cards
    and we would build houses
in our living rooms. It was like a challenge between brothers and sisters. We would do that.”

Why does everyone think Sugar deserved to win, in the final four she said to bob “lets leave up to faith and see who wins the final challenge.” Its Bob the bloody fire lord! and she doesn’t bother telling Matty the person that kept her in the game, the whole time. As far as I am concerned Corinne said the right thing, just before the tribal council and I am glad suzie got as many votes as she did. But the be survivor won on the day. Sugar broke alliences with Ace, Matty, Kenny, Crystal and the list goes on.

Survivor Gabon just aired the finale last night in Australia. Definately in my top 3 survivors (along with Season 2 and the one with Amber and Rob lol!). I like Jeff’s blog a lot, but I have to say that I think he is a bit harsh about Susie. She may not have been a power player like Sugar. But, she was the one who turned the game around by switching alliances. It would have been a very different game if she stuck with her orginal tribe. She did the smart thing by realising how disingenuous/tricky Corrine was being and switching alliances. She was a hard worker all the way through in camp and people saw that. She also didn’t ruffle any feathers in the new camp and subsequently people underestimated her allowing her to shine in the last couple of immunity challenges and winning the most important one. I wish that Sugar might have been able to get the audience vote at least for the great game she played. But, I do understand why she did not win the million. It would be nice if people just respected the game she played and gave her a vote rather than being bitter. The beauty of the game is however making it to the end, playing a good game, and offending people as little as possible, which Susie did more then Sugar and Bob did better than anyone else and rightly won.
    Looking forward to next season!
