As for Kenny not talking directly to you, Jeff: It looked to me like he’s been taking some public-speaking lessons. Moving his head side-to-side, trying to make “eye contact” with lots of the studio audience, hoping to connect with every part of the crowd. He’s probably got an agent who’s promised to get him on the College Lectures circuit at $25K a stop.
Why is no one mentioning that Sugar served up Bob to win on a silver platter. He clearly had four votes no matter what on the jury. Matty was more of an unknown. I think she was rewarded with no votes for doing that – HELLO you get rid of potential jury votes at the end of the game.
I loved her till then – that was a fatal move on her part and prob why she didn’t register one vote. Plus too many vindictive ppl would rather vote nothingness Susie than shake it up Sugar. As I recall Sandra and Veceptia played the same game as Susie – coattailing all the way to a win, so I am not surprised she almost won. It’s been done before.
Jeff, really loved the blogs. Keep them coming. One last question: what was the “most endearing moment?” I think it was when Bob’s wife snuck up on him in the family visit, but some think it was Sugar scattering her dad’s ashes. Which was it, or was it something entirely different?
I WONDER IF RANDY GOT A DOG
Great Job Mr. Probst – as Always!!! Sugar should have gotten votes, however, this jury was as you said, bitter! Too bad. But I am thrilled Bob won. I would have been fine with Bob, Sugar or even Matty. The fact that Susie kicked but in that last challenge was amazing. Not in a good way. But, hey, she played her game and got her to final 3 – good for her. Love, Love, Love this show. What a great 3 hours for me.
I’ve been around since Season 1 and I love the blogs. Thanks, Jeff! I’ve been saying for years that you are hands down the best host on TV. Congrats on the Emmy, btw.
The one thing that kind of irked me was the Sprint award. I think a lot of people voted for Bob over Sugar because they didn’t think Bob could keep winning challenges to make it to the Final 2.
But he didn’t have to because it was a Final 3 (okay, that’s a second thing that bugged me.) So Bob got 1st prize and the consolation prize. In the future, maybe the winner of Survivor shouldn’t be eligible to win the 100k. Or maybe the votes could be done during the reuinion show after we know who the winner is?
Congrats to Bob, well done. I think Sugar played a great game with class. Corinne and Randy are made for each other, both bitter losers. Corinne is a replusive in love with herself no class snot. Bob should throw her a bone so she can buy herself some much needed inner beauty and compassion which she is totally lacking. Randy needs to take a closeup look at himself- wow dude, what a pathetic condesending fool, I picture you growing into a lonely old man with a bad attitude.
I was very happy that Bob won………..Havent wanted anyone to win this bad since Rupert. The live reunion show was BORING! Why spend all that time trying to get answers out of both Bob and Randy…….It would have been nice to hear more from GC (who was a total whining baby) and maybe hearing more of Gillian, Ace, and some of the others that were voted out early. I agree that the jury members were very sore losers, but that was really their MO all the way through. Looking forward to Brazil.
Thanks for another great season and thanks for the blogs, Jeff – they really added a dimension to watching the show. The right Survivor won, so I’m happy, though I’m shocked that Sugar didn’t even get one vote! WTF? If Susie had won I would have thrown a brick through my TV screen, so I guess I owe Randy some thanks. I hope Bob gives Sugar that $100k because without her he never would have won. Corinne now takes the CRAZIER (and hotter) THAN SUE HAWK award, and Kenny, Matty, and Crystal are just sore losers as clearly Susie deserved no votes. Bob rules and as he was my pick from Day One that makes me happy. It was a great season and I’m looking forward to Brazil!
Probst, thanks for another solid season. To be honest, during the final vote last night it was as if I was about to be in a horrible car accident. With each vote for Suzie, I could see the headlights heading strait for me, unable to do anything about it. Thank God she did not win! Suzie winning this thing might have made a huge dent in my loyalty. Thank God for that great ending with Bob pulling it out! Can’t wait for Brazil!
Bob managed over and over to tell us he didn’t approve of Sugar laughing at Randy. Wouldn’t it have been nice if at least once he had managed to also thank Sugar for giving him a million dollars.
If people had expected Bob to win I think Sugar would have won the favorite player award.
Jeff – Why does Bob get a free pass as a decent winner and Susie getting 3 votes is criticized when Bob himself admitted riding coattails. He also admitted he didn’t outwit or outplay anyone. He makes a good winner, but Susie getting 3 votes is surprising? And you can’t even bring up immunity challenges since Susie won 2 of those.
In terms of the final 3, Sugar easily made the most strategic moves and was also impressive in navigating her way to the final despite 10 days on Exile, despite having the hidden idol for most of the game, and despite moving tribe to tribe. She should have been your winner, yet she got 0 votes. So, even the final 3 is flawed.
What will we do for eight and a half weeks?? You know, other than not watch the DVDs we don’t have that Jeff Probst hasn’t said anything about.
Mr. Probst, you’re a sweet blogger and a sweeter host. As a viewer, it’s really interesting to read this through the perspective of an inside source, someone who really knows what’s up. You should just keep blogging, even before season 18 comes out, about past seasons, characters, and moments. ANYTHING! It really keeps us entertained. You may not get paid in cash, but we would all gladly pay you in smiles. (I know you’re the type of guy who likes the loved-one episodes, so I thought I’d see how a corny line like that would work on you)
