Oh my gosh I forgot all about that movie. Too funny.
Just saw this the other day. So cheesy, so heart-tugging.
Beulah to Nick: “That was the fastest pre-med course in history!”
Marcus to Beulah: “The subject is closed.”
Beulah to Marcus: “I’m glad to see you at least have an open mind.”
Hockey coach to Nick: “I don’t know why you want to beat yourself to death playing hockey. I mean you can speak English, for Christ’s sake.”
Nick to Lexie: “Can’t you do it without the TV cameras?”
But to be fair, it also has one of the WORST lines in any movie, Brian to Nick: “Not everybody who doesn’t happen to be from Waverly is a complete s*&^.”
Wow, I enjoyed that way too much. Particularly the full-bearded Tom Skerritt!
Ah, how this movie reminds me of my adolescence back in the stone ages. And how I longed for my name to be Lexie. Sigh!
Ahhh the old Barn at the U of M, M being Minnesota!
this was just on tv this weekend and you know i had to watch some of it! my how times have changed.
Glad I’m not the only one who caught this movie on SoapNet this past weekend. I made my 14 yr-old daughter watch it. Some how… she wasn’t as moved by it as I was.
Still a classic! I cry every time I watch this one.
HOW CAN YOU FORGET ABOUT ICE CASTLES
ok, I actually wasn’t old enough to see this when it came out. I did catch “The Cutting Edge” on TV last week though, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ah, the early nineties.
I used to do triple-axles on my living room floor as a child after this movie! My mom called and told me it would be on, so I DVR’d it. Just watched it yesterday, and am still wiping the tears. I have been googling all of the actors since….
