Looks like: Two Weeks Notice meets Green Card
Verdict: Confession: We love Two Weeks Notice. Reynolds is no Hugh Grant, but we’ll take a good romcom fix when we can get it.
POWDER BLUE
Plot: Let’s see. There’s a stripper, a guy in the ocean, people running, more strippers, a boy flying a kite, money, and then a whole lot more strippers. Who needs a plot when you’ve Jessica Biel sliding down a pole?
Looks like: A remake of Showgirls directed by Paul Thomas Anderson
Verdict: There’s only one line of dialogue in the whole trailer, and it’s not too impressive. Hopefully the movie will have more to say.
MAMMOTH
Plot: Things go wrong when a man (Gael Garcia Bernal) takes a business trip to Thailand, leaving his wife (Michelle Williams) and daughter behind. How wrong? We have no idea.
Looks like: Babel meets Deception
Verdict: Hard to tell what’s going on in this clip. But with Williams and Bernal on board, we’re hopeful that this’ll be a thought-provoking drama — and not just a mammoth downer.

Sandra Bullock + Betty White = I’ll be watching. Forget the romcom angle, I’m more amused by Betty White and the Easter egg hunt.
I love Sandra Bullock – she is one of the VERY FEW (American) women I can stand in rom-coms. I LOVE Ryan Reynolds. And I love Betty White. I’m totally going to see this movie.
And I don’t really understand much with the Mammoth trailer….but I love Gael Garcia Bernal and I love Michelle Williams, so….
I might actually see “The Proposal”. Looks cute!

I’m on board with Sandra and Ryan and Gael and Michelle – I didn’t get the other trailer at all.
I am a fan of Paul Thomas Anderson, so I will trust him on this one. The trailer is definitely bizarre, but Forrest Whitaker and Ray Liotta are intriguing.
The Proposal looks totally predictable, but Betty White! She might get me to go see it in the theater.
I’m definitely a sucker for romcoms, even when they’re predictable (I’ll probably even see the Ugly Truth eventually, tho not necessarily in the theatre). And I love both Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds (so cute!!). So I’m in for The Proposal! Unlikely I’ll go anywhere near the other two.
You’re right, Mammoth does look mighty interesting, and even after reading the synopsis, I have no clue what’s happening. but i still want to see it. lol oh and i’m totally in for The Proposal. I did not expect it to be that funny.
