I don’t watch football games or keep abreast of player stats, so what I mostly know about Peyton Manning is that he’s a goofy, funny guy. I first took notice during his United Way SNL sketch a few years ago, but his latest Mastercard commercial really brought it home for me.
Anyone else with me and think this guy has a career waiting for him once he hangs up his cleats?
I love this ad. I’d say, yeah, I could see him having some kind of casual comedy career.
i personally can’t stand manning or the colts. i’m a huge pats fan, so i guess thats why.
Seriously…Peyton Manning should just have his own variety show by now. The guy is hilarious and has better comedic timing than anyone on SNL!

I’m glad you posted this. I’ve been thinking the same thing every time I watch this commercial. I’ve been enjoying Peyton’s commercials more and more over the last couple of years, but his SNL appearance and this latest commercial here really made me take notice of what great comedy skills he has. He’s awesome in another commercial right now (for some sort of HD TV) where he has to restrain the San Diego chicken.
I’d never seen the United Way sketch before now, but I just watched it twice. Inappropriate? Yes, definitely. Hilarious? Also yes.
The Mastercard commercial isn’thalf bad either.
The MasterCard commercial was funny, but I haven’t seen the United Way sketch. I can’t watch it on Hulu because I’m not in the United States, and I can’t find it on YouTube. It’s making me mad.

I am a huge Peyton fan and love his SNL UW ad – had me in stitches for days! I hope that goes back and does another stint as host!
