Last month, we asked you to give us your nominees for 2008’s best and worstmovies, TV shows, albums (and singles), books, and style. We pored overyour hundreds and hundreds of comments, and came up with some questionsthat’ll help us as we put the finishing touches on EntertainmentWeekly’s annual Best & Worst issue. Below are four book-relatedpolls: Vote early and enthusiastically, then check back for the resultsin the pages of EW and right here at EW.com on Dec. 19. Thanks!
1. What’s the year’s best novel?
2. What’s the year’s best non-fiction book?
3. McCain’s Faith of our Fathers OR Obama’s Audacity of Hope
4. What was the year’s best celeb tell-all?

Do you mean “A signed copy of J.K. Rowling’s Beedle The Bard (due out 12/4), or A SIGNED COPY OF Stephenie Meyer’s Breaking Dawn”?
Because, if you’re comparing a signed book with an unsigned book, is that really a fair comparison?
What,no love for the mystery genre? Where are Tom Rob Smith’s Child 44 or Steig Larsson’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? Two of the best in my estimation.
Of course it is. Dont you get how mental the world thinks you twilighters are by now. We think you’ll take anything signed or not. But damn I would give anything to have Jo sign one of my HP books.
Apparently, the question was removed.
Am I crazy? I don’t see anything about any signed books in this posting…
Wish there was more selection here to choose from. No “Telex from Cuba” or “Unaccustomed Earth”…
WORST BOOK OF 2008 = BREAKING DAWN. why would anyone EVER put that as the BEST book of 2008? Are you NUTS????
Yeah, this poll won’t be skewed…
(I of course refer to Oprah’s crazed band of fanatics who bought the dog story.)
For non-fiction I am currently reading and loving ‘American Nerd: The Story of My People’ by Benjamin Nugent. That’s just me, though.
How can you not include Artie Lange’s “Too Fat To Fish” in the best celeb tell-all? It’s one of the funniest, dirtiest, entertaining books I’ve read in a long, long time.
Wait a minute, how in the HELL did you guys even think to nominate “Breaking Dawn” as a best novel of 2008, when even your own critic gave it a D-?
You’d think that the staff of this magazine was being paid by Stephenie Meyer to constantly drum up support for her crappily written series of which even her most devoted Twitard fans have said that Breaking Dawn was the absolute the worst of the lot.
Stop with the butt kissing EW. Makes you writers look so pathetic.
I read American Nerd too! It was good but kind of boring. I read it because the author, Benjamin Nugent, is Mindy Kaling’s boyfriend. I love her. World’s Cutest Couple!
“The Sum of Our Days” is a memoir, not a novel.
