I’m adding my voice to the growing chorus of anti-Twilight-ers. Maybe if there are enough of us, EW will finally wake up and start printing articles for adults again. I know Twilight is a phenomenon and you can’t ignore it, but your incessant coverage is getting ridiculous. There are plenty of teen mags and websites to cover teen culture. EW does not have to jump on the bandwagon. Recently you had an article about Mickey Rourke that was one of the best articles you’ve printed in a long time. Keep publishing writing like that and you may keep your long-time subscribers.

all you people who think twilight is stupid are seriously disturbed you shouldn’t start judging something that you haven’t even read yet, you have no idea what it is or how good it is so i think some of you should go grow a brain because obviously you got yours from the clearence section at wal-mart

I read all the books and I watched all the movies. And I STILL think it’s bad.

People will never get it, one……….you never listen to the hype, you just go. Two……….The book and the movies never match, and never will. So read the book first, then go see the movie. Three……..Those who can do, those who can’t review!

Ha ha ha! This is so funny! It it just so hilarious with its furthering the cliche that all men are drunken football watchers who don’t know anything but sports. If our country is ever going to strike down these blatant gender roles then maybe we would be able to accept people for who they are and not fit them to the mold that our society has created!

The Book Is So Good, I Can’t Stop Reading It.

  • Barb

Over Exposed, that is a good one, like Harry Potter wasn’t over exposed, or any of the others. The books are great, gripping.

I thought it was a great movie…If you go to a movie now most days it is all about the sex and how much blood they can put on screen..Twilight is a love story a good one at that..

YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
Twilight is the freakin number 1 movie in america and Made 70.5 MILLION dollars in one weekend!
yeah this movie sucks so much that everyone says it rocks!
So, whoever think its THAT bad its not!

    • Alex

Yeah, because stuff that’s popular is ALWAYS good. Remember how America voted Bush as president?…twice?

  • Laci

Hilarious commentary! I loved the movie and have watched it several times; however, my brother was not as enchanted. He walked out of the theater, describing the movie as “bearable.” Yes, there is action, but over 1.5 hours is the “chick” part.

I don’t care if you like the movie or not …. what REALLY bother me was the part ‘ for girls ‘ … what the HELL is wrong with you guys! We GIRLS go see your stupid movies … would it kill you go see ONE of our movies and not complain … hush I said!

  • Clarissa

Your blog, your opinion. Most guys aren’t into “chick flicks” (if you categorize it as such) so whatever.

  • Ethan

Bella (I wonder where that name came from), since when does lots of box office $$$ mean good movie? I can’t believe I spent $9 bucks to see this movie, what I do for friends.

  • Seth

You’re right, Bella. It’s not THAT bad. It’s actually worse. The movie is laughable. Not even the vampire mythology is interesting. I put down the book after five chapters of “I hate him. Why doesn’t he talk to me? He’s so pretty!” — and that’s only the first 30 minutes of the movie!

  • M

I’m a 16-year-old girl who read the first three books and hated them. Edward Cullen is not romantic, he is a creeper– he shows up in Bella’s bedroom uninvited and basically stalks her. Bella is a weak, annoying teenager who can’t live without her man– what a great example to set for young girls.
The movie made so much money because zillions of girls are in love with a fictional character, not because it is good. It got terrible reviews.
All of you who are fans, stop freaking out about the criticism. Your movie made serious cash, and there will be sequels. You really shouldn’t care if there are people out there who don’t share your opinions.
