Not quite everything about the ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was revealed during last night’s get-together. Namely, we still don’t know who that effing elusive Big Poppa is! But we learned loads more about this rabble-rousing bunch of crazy ladies from the South. And gloriously enough, the episode focused mostly on NeNe and Kim’s bad blood. Here, I give you a quick primer the five most important (thus, exclamation-pointed!) points from the evening:
1. BOMBSHELL: That is NOT Kim’s real hair! You needn’t be a stylist to know this, but Kim finally revealed that she does, in fact, wear a weave. But the reason isn’t so funny: She was sick. I’m not about to begrudge a person for losing their hair to unavoidable illness, but it seems like all the speculation about her tresses (and her age — she still claims to be 29!!) could have been solved simply by being honest about it in the first place. Finally, Kim was truthful — you can watch her emotional breakdown about the whole sitch here:
2. Don’t mess with NeNe! Her blowout with Kimwas, in a word: amazing. At one point NeNe called Kim a "trashbox" anda "trashy hooker" in the same breath. What was most fascinatingabout this fight was that neither lady seemed to know what, exactly,they were fighting about. One minute they "debated" about Kim’s dalliance withBig Poppa ("Close your legs to married men!" Nene screeched), the nextit was about NeNe trashing Kim for her truly heinous singing. Duringthat portion, the best part wasn’t hearing the deluded babble coming out ofKim’s mouth — it was the simple reaction shots from NeNe. Instead of hersignature "eyes poppin’, lips bustin’," you could say it was "eyesrollin’, lips pursin’." Genius, NeNe, genius.
3. Thank goodness for Dwight! Just when things were getting heated between all the ladies, Andy Cohen brought out a surprise: NeNe’s gay boyfriend, Dwight! He was truly the antidote that was needed at the moment: Dwight brought his fun and fancy-free attitude to the couches and said all the fighting was "tres tres tres declassé." He told Kim to fix her weave but admitted that, more than any of the crazy women on the couch there with him, he was the biggest diva of all. So true.
4. Shereé and DeShawn are total snoozes! Because the showdoes in fact have five cast members, the reunion couldn’t totally focus on thefireworks between NeNe and Kim (and then, Lisa), so I suppose I shouldmention how the far-less-interesting Shereé and DeShawn figured into the evening. Shereé rattled on about her delusional confidence and how her fashion line She by Shereé will launch in fall 2009; DeShawn talked about learning her lesson with her uber-botched benefit and claimed that she didn’t know how much she paid her house staff. (Riiiiight, DeShawn.) Whoa, I honestly just surprised myself with how much I actually paid attention to their underwhelming segments.
5. Season 2 is imminent! When questioned about Big Poppa, Kim once again refused to reveal his identity but did mention that their relationship is "off and on."Even better than that, though, was the true (although maybe I’m reading too much into it) reveal from the chatter. Kim said: "Stay tuned becauseyou may see what happens on next season." Screw the blasted Big Poppa revelation,we’re getting season 2! Wheeee! Christmas has come early for this Real Housewives devotee!

I used to like Lisa…don’t anymore…if she’s such a peacemaker why is she sinking to Kim’s level & getting into it with her. During that confrontation who really looked like the fool? Let’s be honest…it was Lisa. And I don’t believe that Kim is that bad of a person. I wouldn’t take comments like NeNe’s very well either. Not from someone who claims to be a friend. There are better ways to tell someone their singing stinks.

lisa did what all peace makers due took the heat off of someone else and put it on herself to protect the other……classy women in my book she is a real sweetheart……love her
OOH MY GOD!!! What a show, First of all, Love ya NeNe.,and Kim and Sheree made fool’s of there selves, I truly turned my head in EMBARRASSMENT for Kim when she spoke about her so called cancer, What DOCTOR would tell someone just because they lost some weight and lost some hair that they were 90% sure they had cancer??? PPPPLLLEEASE. Kim you truly do need some medical help.== Mental help. and Sheree it is so obvious you are so damn jealous of NeNe. You will never be able to compete with NeNe. as for Lisa and Deshawn. Lisa is not a peace maker she knew by telling Sherre about NeNe’s song that she was starting drama. Deshawn was the real peace maker.
I love NeNe. She is so funny and really made this season “watch-able”. Otherwise it would have been “zzzzz”…a snoozer. Kim seriously needs to drop off the face of the planet. She’s so incredibly fake and not convincing anyone that she’s a decent person, and I think we all know it was not merely a product of creative reality-TV editing.
I am somewhat confused. Why did Lisa get all ticked off at Lisa. I dont like Kim, but I had to agree with her at that point when she was saying that Lisa told her that NeNe was making fun of her. I don’t understand why Lisa was acting like she didn’t say anything. Who else was in the car to every say anything back to Kim? No one but Lisa. Lisa was “cool” with Sharee & Kim…so it just didnt make since why she would “flip” her “over the couch”..lol. Maybe its just me.
Kim is a mental case. I don’t believe her about the non-cancerous cancer comments. She is an idiot. I love Nee Nee and Lisa. They are off the hook. DeShawn is the classiest of them all.

The reunion special was off the chissang! I very much enjoyed watching every last minute of it. Sheree claims to be classy, but to me, she came off as utterly fake.
NeNe and Kim fight was great, and I have no idea what Lisa and Kim were fighting about, but I loved it when Lisa threatened to “flip Kim over the couch”. Hilarious!
However, I thought that the question that Andy Cohen asked about NeNe’s breasts sagging and her wearing “cheap” clothes was totally inappropriate. Was that honestly a question that was burning in everyone’s mind who watched the show? I don’t think so.
Okay, maybe you were watching a different show but Kim WAS NOT sick. First, she said she was wearing the wig because she was sick and a “very close friend” said that they were 95% sure she had cancer – only to then reveal that she waited 3 days or 3 weeks for the test results that revealed she did not have cancer at all. So back to the original question, “what with that wig?”
She said that she had a friend who’s a doctor who told her they were 90% sure she had cancer. She then went on to say that she found out it wasn’t cancer but that she had still been very ill but she didn’t want to go into what was going on. She mentioned that she has had good bloodwork recently and her hair is growing back but not the way she would like it to.
It seems a lot of people are hearing only what they want to.
I’m confused. I don’t like Kim but I don’t see any reason to necessarily be on Team NeNe either. She did talk trash about her friend. Just because she has a big personality and makes it look funny does it make any less right.
Deshawn in my opinion is the classiest of the all. they could all learn a thing or two from her. regardless, nene brings it down every time and i applaud her for telling it like it is….it makes for good tv!
The reason why Lisa got into a fight with Kim, is because she heard Kim spreading rumors that she lost custody of her two kids with Keith Sweat becasue she was a junkie. So that is where that anger came from. The article is on ajc.com.
I found the show last night painful to watch DeShawn who states she is a Christian and who writes out her big checks to her church did nothing to help Kim. She has a foundation to “empower” young black girls, but Kim was being attacked by everyone and DeShawn just sat there…I guess she only empowers young black girls Even if Kim is white and not a young girl…as a Christian she should have realized that maybe one of God’s children (Kim) was hurting and she should have stepped in. She choose to side with a “gossipier) Lisa and an angry women Nena,…who I find is sad that she has a non profit for violence against women,..yet she was getting ready to fight Kim… I think all these women are hurting and have twisted hearts. To go so low as to talk about Kim’s hair, when Nene and DeShawn both wear wigs and weaves is sad. Everyone on this earth has issues, and all these women have issues, no on wants to blame Lisa for betraying Nene and then going to sharee, knowing it would get to Kim
Screw Team NeNe or Team Kim! It’s all about Lisa. This little firebug provided the best moments last night. It seems she doesn’t like any of her costars very much except for NeNe of whom she says she didn’t like but likes now. I wished she would have flipped Kim over the couch. That would have been priceless!
I loved last show! LOVE YOU NeNe! Kim is so pathetic, she’s a total slob. When they show her dragging on her ciggies.. blah.. just nasty. Girl can not sing, please if someone or anyone out there is her friend tell her. Don’t let her spend anymore time and money on that!!
CANCER does not cause hair to fall out…. The CHEMOTHERAPY causes hair loss! NOT CANCER! HA! How pathetic! Kim is just trying to make up a sob story to explain why she wears a wig / weave so that people stop picking on her about how bad it looks! She looks even more stupid after this pathetic story she told…. What an insult to people who have had cancer and have lost their hair due to the chemo. She obviously has a HOPELESS doctor/friend if they based a “90% cancer” diagnosis on hair loss! I bet this is just a lie too! Ha!
I think that Kim needs to get her facts straight. Cancer should have never came out of her mouth if she didn’t have it. Even the host had to ask her three times to confirm that she did not have cancer.

Kim claims to have had hair falling out and this is why she was diagnosed (with 90% certainty even before blood tests?????) with cancer. Hellloooooooo.
CHEMOTHERAPY causes hair loss to victims of cancer. If you don’t have chemo you don’t have hair loss Kim! Liar.
Kim is making it all up about the cancer story- she needs to do her research. Hair loss is not s symptom of cancer and no real doctor would ever use this as a basis for a cancer diagnosis. Hair loss is due to the patient undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Kim is so low to even try getting sympathy in this way. Her story was painful to watch because it was so obviously made up.
I’m sure Kim was not sick…she is covering up for BAD HAIR! She actually did say in the interview she had cancer then when asked “you had cancer?” she changed her story to say it ended up not being cancer…SHE MADE A COMPLETE FOOL OF HERSELF.
Kim is not a bad person, she is just delusional. If she were concerned for her health, she wouldn’t be smoking packs of cigarettes and chugging bottles of wine everyday!!! She looks like she is addicted to prescription drugs and has those “far away eyes” of someone heavily medicated.
K kids, here it is… First of all, Lisa got mad at Kim cuz Kim outted her as the person that told her about Nene’s song she was singing in the Limo. That is why Lisa was mad.
Second, Nene should have conducted herself with a bit more constraint. I understand that she would be mad but come on this is not the playground in 5th grade!
I agree that Sheree and DeShawn are yawn fests. They are most likely very nice persons, just not depicted as the most exciting of this bunch.
Those of you that said cancer does not make your hair fall out chemo does-YOUR RIGHT-the only other thing that would make Kim have those types of symptoms would be a hormonal imbalance or some sort of medication she was taking. So try again Kim, no sympathy from me until you come clean on what condition you were dealing with. I don’t know why you so secretive, maybe coming out about the condition would help someone else out there, but you probably are not into helping others, only yourself.
As for Kim and dating a married man, I will give her the benefit of the doubt that he was in the process of getting a divorce, but there was 2 other people calling her out that Big Papa would never leave his wife, so that suspect there too!
Lastly, even when (and if) Kims CD comes out, it probably has been so remastered that it is hardly her voice that is on the CD. Just wait to see if she actually goes on tour-doubtful!

Kim…Cancer not cancer, maybe your hair if falling out due to stress because you never know which one of your lies you need to keep up with..and which friend you stabbed in the back, and your hair doesn’t fall out due to cancer, and since you didn’t have chemo then your hair was falling out for another reason. I think you just like the wig,also…you seem to be just an un educated hick that has money, the money you get from servicing a married man. We in America call that a hooker.
