Remember when the Davids Cook and Archuleta got down in their undies for those Risky Business-inspired Guitar Hero commercials? And then Heidi Klum did the same thing, but in just a bra? This time, it’s Michael Phelps, Kobe Bryant, Alex Rodriguez, and Tony Hawk executing the same exact concept in Love’s Baby Soft pink shirts. But HELLO. Kobe is not following the tighty-whiteys rule at all. He thinks he can wear long-ass basketball shorts just because that’s what his sport allows? By that logic, Phelps should be rockin’ the full-length LZR Racer bodysuit. (No, I did not have to look that up.) At least A-Rod is wearing amusingly inseamed ump shorts, Phelps appears to be as aired-out down there as Cook was, and for all we know Hawk is going commando under that drum set. Get it together, Kobe! I liked you better when you endorsed Nutella.
Be sure to let us know when the next celebrity-studded Guitar Hero commercial airs, so we can continue to needlessly shill for them as much as possible. Jeez.
The uber-long b-ball shorts struck me odd as well, as did the very obvious fact that these four athletes clearly did not film this simultaneously. Is it too much to ask to have them be there at the same time?
I think the Tony Hawk is the one who deosn’t fit. Yes, he’s on a skateboard, but Michael Phelps is rocking the Speedo, Kobe the basketball shorts, and A-rod the ump shorts. By that logic, Tony Hawk should be in jeans, albeit white jeans. Does he get a pass cause he’s rocking the board and the helmet?
this commercial is horrible. Why are sports figures selling me a video game about music? There is a severe disconnect. Also hearing the opening chords to that song four times in a row is just annoying.

Each athlete has something from each one of their sports. Kobe is wearing basketball shorts, A-Rod sliding shorts, Phelps a speedo, and Tony Hawk has a skateboard. Thats easy to recognize
It probably wouldn’t have been the most appropriate thing for Kobe to wear tighty-whiteys, he did just go to trial a couple of years ago for rape after all. That might have been viewed as insensitive and Kobe is just now getting his positive image back.
