I thought Miley Cyrus’ performance was awful. I realize that she is big in the pre-teen arena, but she doesn’t make it in ANY of the other age groups or outside of the Disney genre. Her dancing looked like she was having a siezure on her feet and the song sounded like she was trying too hard to be classic rock. She should stick to what she does best…the under 14 Disney-esk sounds.
I agree that Miley’s act was not impressive even my daughter who likes Miley was not impressed with the song or cheesey show she put up. I believe that was one of the reason’s that the younger teen girls are pulling away from Miley. I think to much Diva is being let out on this young lady and she is not handeling the pressure with the moves. We all need to regulate the actions of our teens and her parents are no different.

I disagree regarding the finale … it sent shivers down my spine … Alicia, The Queen, and then Kathleen Battle ! … brilliant … love all these Women … then to have them all sing “Superwoman” together ! well, totally amazing … yes, all thier styles are different … incredible how it all fit together … a toast of champagne to whomever came up with the concept and another toast to these Women … Thank-you
Annie Lennox and the Eagles are the only ones that deserved to be there. It’s too bad that artists today don’t have the talent or creativity anymore. When Annie Lennox was singing, you could see that the young people in the audience didn’t get it. They don’t understand that music is supposed to be received artistically.
You’re a terrific humor writer — I didn’t give an at’s rass about the awards show, but your piece is so cheeky. I agree with you re: Xtina — she seems more confident and physically substantial in her performance (I Googled it). I stopped paying attention to Kanye years ago when I couldn’t see him behind his massive ego or hear him above his kvetching. I want to like Pink more than I do — her choice of recorded music just doesn’t do anything for me. As for Beyonce, I recognize that she is a talented entertainer, but I can’t get past the ubiquitous crotch shots. Are crotches EVER sexy? Ew.

With all the blond pop queens on there, I was hoping to see the band Chaotica perform ‘When She Falls’ but I guess they were busing filming a new video.
Ok, wow. The show was interesting. At some points I was like “OH YEAH BABY!” And at other times I was like.. “what… the…?” For example: NKOTB.. I almost cried for the audience from the pain they MUST have had to endure listening to that AWFUL medley. Beyonce killed it, of course. Xtina was.. eh. LOVED alicia and q-tifah, but then that woman came out and i was like.. What?! What IS this?? “the incomparable?” maybe on .. broadway or something!
but yeah, not a bad show. Coulda done without the joe bros and that embarrassing excuse of an artist MILEY cyrus. Ehhhh..

FINALLY! Someone out there is seeing the same as me! BEYONCE! She has become a victim of her own hype. She is awful! the guy who taught her that is laughing all the way to the bank, & all of you fans are buying into it, as if she were any good! Her songs are so overrated
I do agree. I know nothing about the Jonas bros. and after last night I’m glad. It was simply not good and New kids on the block….man whos Idea was to get back together. It was horrible, they should have stuck with one old one new song. that wanna be r&b pop hip hop 90s boyband was just messed up. I actually liked hannah montanta or miley cyrus whatever. she kept my attention! BEYONCE…oh yes, not over the top very nice…I do dis agree with Chistina, I didn’t feel that, all she does is growl not sing, and it looked to rushed and the dances were off! and she sounded like she was trying to hard!
I think what the last poster meant to say is that Christina is Hispanic. What about her? For some reason, the Latino community never clains her! Oh and by the way, Enrique is Spanish–not Latino! Latino refers to someone from Latin America.
