Didn’t watch the show, don’t care, since I’m a tad over 13… however, your recap is the most entertaining thing I’ve been treated to in awhile. I almost wish there could be more faux entertainment industry awards shows so you can recap them.

I thought the NKOTB performance was really good! Way to jump on the bandwagon of New Kids haters and trash on them for no reason other than you think it is cooler to hate them then to like them. Whatever!

I didn’t think Xtina was that good, disapointing actually, looked like she was struggling and her voice was all over the place, she did not look like she was having fun either. And people who were ragging on Britney’s for her excess baby weight on stage at the VMA, should not give Xtina a free pass on that, girl hired hippier/bigger backup dancers so she would look thinner herself! And Beyonce looks crazy when she dances, like she has epilepsy! And the short-short is not a good look on her. Both Xtina and Beyonce always lookllike they are trying too hard.

Beyonce is awesome. That is all.

    BEYONCE ROCKED THE ENTIRE SHOW!
Kanye West, The Jonas Brothers and The Pussycat Dolls are all embarrassments and pained me to watch.

The segregation of latinos in the music scene is now complete. They were relegated to a token appearance by Enrique Iglesias and that’s about it. Wasn’t this supposed to be the “American” Music Awards? We are part of the American fabric of this country too.

Christina’s voice was all over the place, she needs to learn less is more (and that goes for her over processed hair too), her vocal acrobatics are just too too much, we get it, you can sing! Now Pink on the other hand blew her away, Pink can really sing and it she doesn’t force it like Christina.

  • Gretchen Weiners

Haguilera was absolutely awful! She over-sings absolutely everything and it sounds ridiculous. Not to mention her obvious ripoff of Lady Gaga for, well, everything. She has a stunning voice – listen to “Save Me From Myself” off of her last album. Why does she ruin everything by screaming with her throat and doing runs at every chance? Ugh.

Sounds like I’m quite glad that I completely missed this – A Colbert Christmas was far more entertaining.

Can someone please redesign that weapon of an award? An unlucky diva is one stiletto-getting-caught-in-a-hem away from disaster.

  • Randy Pettit

Pink is wonderful everytime I see her. Miley Cyrus’ career is going to implode if they don’t give her some downtime. Listen up Billy Ray, it could be child abuse because she still is…a child, yes?

You will have to watch the Mexican music awards for that.

Oh man, Queen Latifah’s rap had me tearing up and then opera lady came out and I was wtf?

Annie Lennox and Taylor Swift were the most REAL performances of the night – stripped down, emotional, and powerful music. Everything else was ego, ass, and over-done.

  • Eddie

I found the whole affair boring. Kimmel’s attempts at humor bombed to the point of emabarrassment. The performances were forced at best. Annie Lenox, while not exactly performing at her best, blew the rest of the acts away. I realize that the awards are determined by what is essentially the pre-teen demographic but a person can only take so much fluff-with-no-substance. The ceremony needs to be renamed to a more fitting title such as “The American Pop Music Awards.”
