I read all the books and enjoyed them. I have seen the movie many times. Kristen Stewart not my favorite. Some of my family and friends had not read the books and they did have alot of questions, which of course I was able to explain. I know you can not get everything from the book into the movie but alot of key parts were left out. Harry Potter films were true to the book. You could understand the movies even if you did not read the books. So what if they were alittle long. TThought the Cullen and Hale casting was great. They needed more screen time though. Ashley Green was adorable as Alice. They were all pretty much what I imagined from the book. Am anxious to see the relationship between Bella & Jacob. Hopefully Kristen will get a clue by then. I am 59 years old and a big fan of Twilight movies and books. ALso Harry potter where I first saw Rob Pattinson.

I can’t believe that I’ve hardly heard any complaints about the make-up. That was a huge distraction for me. White faces, tan/beige necks and upper chests….it was like the vampire characters had masks on. And Carlisle needed some serious exfoliation! The red lipstick on Edward was way too much as well.

I HATED KIRSTEN STUART..she’s a horrible actress..besides carlisle nd jacob, they all were mediocre actors..i think Rob pretty much carried them all.. he was the only one worth watching.. not cus he’s hot i don’t think he’s attractive at all but he’s a good actor.. I loved the basebal scene..it was so accurate..everything else suked..though i knew it’d be a horrible movie considering how long and AWESOME the books are.. i still watched it and since i know New Moon’s gonna suck in comparison as well.. I’ll be at the midnight show for sure..

Yeah, I mentioned it a couple times in a different forum that they should’ve hired a different person/crew to do makeup. Peter F. I could def. tell had a thick layer of it on. Whoever did Stuart Townsend’s in Queen of the Damned, should be hired. His looks like a natural pale white, not the obvious caked on makeup.

    Cris

i personally didnt like the movie one bit i thought it was very cheesy and the script sucked…the actors were not very good. it was like twilight was everyones first movie…the fact that you could see the makeup and contacts was very sloppy and they left out some very important parts like when she sat with him the first day in the cafeteria…and the meadow i felt the scene was too short and they didnt talk at all…the movie was boring although i did love the soundtrack. i thought the actors except for rob were very hot..i thought rob was hot at first but not really anymore…they couldve gotten someone better looking and a more experienced actor…as for bella…she is pretty much how i pictured her but she isnt a very good actress…everyone else was about right and not totally terrible.

I will always be a Twilight fan but I do say that the movie was nothing to the book. First they got the hair for Edward wrong and they skipped most of the good parts. Don’t get me wrong though, I still think that Robert Patterson is cute but they could have picked a better person to play him. I LOVE Twilight and i will for a long time, but the movie still was nothing but an atom next to the bestselling, tall prided, perfect, spectacular and completly addictive book.

I don’t know if it was better to have read the book or not, it helped you understand what the movie left out, but there is no comparison. Being there was a small budget, they did the best they could do. I loved the casting, Rob Pattinson played a perfect Edward and I really wish the deleted scenes had been left in. I’m a mom and enjoyed the movie with my kids. Waiting for New Moon.

my personal opinion is that the movie sucked. the book wasn’t too bad but the movie was like a little (when i say little i mean minisqule) crumb of a cupcake compared to a awesome, supermasive, gigantic cheesecake. What i mean is some like cheesecake others want the cupcake crumb. i myself like the cheesecake, don’t you? (Yes i am hungry)

i love that movie very much.i really love jacob black and edward cullen.it the best movie i seen in a long time and i can not wait till new moon come out

I saw the movie before I read the books and enjoyed it so much that I saw it 9 times at the cinema, bad make-up and all. I think what people are not understanding is that a budget of 37 million is a drop in the pan in Hollywood. New Moon also only has a budget of 50 million. Summit, if you want to do these wonderful books justice, then give them the money they need to produce a fantastic movie instead of a great one. Thank you Rob for bringing Edward to life and I look forward to seeing more of Taylor in New Moon.
