Hey, wouldja look at that? Some artist has created a striking portrait of rapper Marshall Mathers made entirely out of 1000+ M&M’s chocolate candies! Get it? Because Mr. Mathers performs under the name Eminem … which sounds sorta like "M&M’s"…ah, never mind. I guess that pun will never get old for some people. Anyway, the folks at Ripley’s Believe it or Not! just informed me via press release that they have purchased this lifelike confectionery artwork for one of their museums. I totally believe that, Ripley! And I just wanted to share this news with all of you, since I find this image oddly transfixing. I do, however, question the artist’s limited color palette. (What, no green M&M’s? Were you saving those all for a portrait of David Lee Roth?) Holler if you’re with me.

Are you sure that those are real M&M’s because I do not think that M&M has white, sky blue, and purple ones.
Actually, you can get pretty much any color M&Ms you want off their website or at any of their Colorworks stores.
As for the M&M Eminem (and no, that doesn’t get old!), I think it should be hung alongside a jellybean portrait of Ronald Reagan, don’tcha think?

I dig the limited color palette. Though the halo effect amuses me. Kinda surprised no one thought to do this before.
Definitely a Byzantine religious icon effect, but in M&Ms with a less than saintlike subject!
I am not easily impressed by confectionary art (having been exposed to so little of it in my lifetime), but this actually does look like Eminem. How is that possible?!
