So Diddy will guest star on CSI: Miami as a prosecutor who "does not get along" with David Caruso’s Horatio Caine. The two-episode arc will air later this winter, according to AP. Love it. Maybe enough to finally watch a full episode of CSI: Miami, which just celebrated its 150th episode earlier this week.* Definitely enough to embed one of my favorite South Park clips ("Ike, do your impersonation of David Caruso’s career!") after the jump.
I know that CSI: Miami and CSI: NY kill in the ratings and regularly win their time slots, but I don’t know anyone outside my office who watches. Do you watch? Answer in the poll below.
* I only know that — and that costar Adam Rodriguez cleaned toilets at NYC’s Penn Station (for a day) — because I caught Rodriguez on The Bonnie Hunt Show Monday.

Diddy and Horatio Caine? There’s not a television in the world that can contain that much ego in one place.
I think P. Diddy will upstage Caruso. Hell, even an ape could upstage Caruso.
My answer is CSI: regular & CSI: NY–not a choice.
I watch CSI original and CSI NY. I cannot stand David Caruso so I don’t watch CSI Miami.
I watch Grey’s Anatomy and dvr CSI and/or sometimes dvr Criminal Minds. Watching people being tortured and/or killed more than once a week is too morbid for me. Still, I would like to see how Diddy handles his role on CSI Miami. He was great in A Raisin In The Sun.
What I don’t get is how CSI Miami beats CSI NY in the ratings.
i don’t watch any CSI’s. I used to watch Miami, but it got too ridiculous after Marisol died. Damn Caruso! I haven’t watched the original CSI for awhile, but they lost me for sure after they killed Warrick (plus it’s on at the same time as Supernatural-and I do NOT miss supernatural) And I have never watched New York. I don’t like the way everything looks so dingy and dark.
Where is the South Park clip??
I watch all three and enjoy CSI Miami not for Caurso but the rest of the great cast who do good work. I know it’s goofy but I can’t help but be sucked into the setting, the wild crimes and the slick sets. I like the other two CSIs as well but Miami has its own special flavor.
I’m just looking forward to the clip on The Soup…
“Diddy, Diddy, Diddy, Can’t You See… Seriously, can you, these sunglasses are ridiculous.”
“YEOAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!”
My guess to the cause of lower ratings for CSI New York as compared to Miami would be the fact that CSI New York is competing against Law & Order in its time slot. I would imagine they attract the same demographic.
I agree, CSI NY is amazing and Miami is just irritating. Maybe I’m biased because I live in New York, but CSI: NY is slick, and i LOVE LOVE LOVE the cast, more so than any of the other shows.
Caruso rules.
I only watch CSI:NY, to me the best out of the three.
Caruso is simply awful
