My favorite episode so far. David was so amazing and so strong. His hurt was real and Bones saw it and recognized she had to find out the truth.
And when she did, she almost cried at her stupidity. Then she reacted with force against Jared.
I liked the end speech. She admitted to everyone her culpability. She made up in public with him which is incredible recognition of how important he is to her.
And when she pulled him aside to talk to him about Jared, she showed caring. And the fact that he was willing to listen to her about a difficult subject and act on her suggestion just showed the depth of love and respect between these two people.
And they have become people not just characters. They deserve to be together. Once the sexual tension has been resolved, there is emotional connection that is so important to the show and that's why I watch it and that's what I look for plus the great chemistry and acting.

I also loved this episode for many of the reasons stated above. I was really starting to worry that the show had jumped the proverbial shark before this episode--it always maintained such a good balance of crime and characters and much of that was missing this season.
My biggest issue overall is Brennan's characterization as of late. She seems to have regressed into a very plastic personality. Having grown so much over the previous seasons, I have found her to be rather simplistic this season. I hope the writers have plans to give her some substance. This episode was definitely a step in the right direction.
I am with the majority of you and feel that keeping these two apart is more of a hindrance than anything else. They come close to acknowledging that Brennan is looking for a Booth stand-in now they need to let Booth recognize that. I think the squints should do an intervention and lock both of them in a storage closet or something ;)

Omg. DAVID!!!!
Just so fantastic!
Booth was so vunerable, he melted my big old heart. If there was anyone that needed a hug it was Booth. What a horrible childhood he had and what a nasty brother he has, jerky Jared.
I love Booth, serious and dramatic BUT he is also fun with a great sense of humor - he is both - a nice balance - don't want to lose funny Booth or dark Booth.
Can I have my own Booth please? :)

Jumping on with the David love. Boy that man can act. We know he can act, we have watched and admire him over the years but he was just in a different league in this epi. Booth just stole my heart. Brennan, I just wanted to give a good slap. She betrayed Booth and just devasted him. And she knew it. Any other man mightn't have forgiven her but Booth is an exceptional, kind and forgiving man. Jared just was a jerk who needed a good slap too. The actor BF, was average and didn't look like DB, poor casting.
