In honor of America’s Next Top Model’s Marjorie receiving a drunken marriage proposal in the bath tub during last night’s episode (pictured), let’s all rattle off our favorite bath/hot tub moments from TV and film. I’ll start. I still remember episode 2 of NBC’s reality show Age of Love, when bachelor Mark Philippoussis and his bikini’d 20-something "kittens" sat in painfully awkward silence as he looked like he wanted to kill himself. And, of course, there’s that little sex scene in Bull Durham. And, ooh, that controversial beer helmet scene with David Boreanaz on Bones.

The Real World Miami when Mike and Melissa had the threesome with the waitress. And then Flora got stuck in the window when Sarah tried to push her through to the shower. I think that was probably the first reality show hot tub threesome. Groundbreakers, they were.

The most memorable tub scene in a funny-sad way, is from Scrubs when JD’s dad (John Ritter) dies and his brother (played by Tom Cavanaugh) is in the tub with all of the beer cans.
In the movie “Flesh + Blood” the scene in the medieval hot tub between Rutger Hauer and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Molten-lava hot!
oh, i’m with winona on “a hard day’s night” – i first saw it on VHS as a little kid, and you can bet a whole new dimension was added to all my bad bath time influences previously taken from “calvin and hobbes”!
um, just to clarify, because it could get wierd and disturbing fast: i assume we’re only looking for funny/sexy bath scenes here?
1) Chandler learning to love baths thanks to Monica on “Friends”
2) Katherine Heigl beginning to give birth in a tub while Seth Rogen yells at their doctor in “Knocked Up”

A pretty famous one would be Julia Roberts singing “Kiss” in the bathtub in “Pretty Woman”.
A more infamous one is that one episode of “Cribs” in which Mariah Carey kinda gets naked in front of the camera, just covered by a towel, and takes a bath for no apparent reason.
David Boreanaz’s beer helmet-and-cigar combo on Bones was the best–especially with the sly callout of the Green Lantern comic. David voiced the GL in a Justice League cartoon movie awhile back and was just “Out-standing”.

Without giving too much away, I like the “make the audience” jump moment in “What Lies Beneath”, which made the main antogonist in the movie jump back in fright and hit his head even harder than I got hit in the face by my brother, who had also jumped back.
I also LOVED Eddie Murphy’s “James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub Party” skit on SNL. Ah, the days when Eddie Murphy was funny.
I’ll go with Tobias and Lindsey hiding in the bathtub/shower from Maggie Lizer on “Arrested Development”…..SPEAKING of which, why no Popwatch item on the confirmation from Jeffrey Tambor that the AD movie is ON!!!!!???!!!
the scenes in “Bones” (naked David Boreanaz!) and “Scrubs” are definitely good ones. but did anyone else see “The Fountain” w/Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz? there’s a bathtub scene in that movie that is h-o-t!
I love the Friends tub scene where Monica and Chandler are in the tub and still hiding their relationship. Joey barges in to see if he wants any food and Monica has to duck under the water to avoid getting caught. Classic Friends moment.
What about the SNL sketch with Mike Meyers where he’s the kid in the bathtub and he’s like, “Hello my name is Simon and I like to do drawrings!”
Five words: The Real World Las Vegas
That entire season was pretty much one long hot tub session.
Because the David Boreanaz scene has already been mentioned, I’d have to say my fave is in Queen of the Damned, with Stuart Townsend as Lestat and Aaliyah as Akasha. Very steamy scene … I can’t hear “Change in the House of Flies” by the Deftones without thinking about it!
Elizabeth Banks getting friendly with the handheld shower head in “40 Year Old Virgin” and Carell’s reaction to all of it.
It’s not so much of a bathtub scene…but this reminds me of a good moment from The Golden Girls…
Blanche says “Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take a long hot steamy bath. With barely enough water to cover my perky bosoms.”
And then Sophia jabs back, “You’re only gonna sit in an inch of water?!”
