This Must List's on Fire

Some might call my habit of listening to a single song on repeat for hours on end annoying, but I’m not friends with those people. Read the full post.

I am digging the Taylor Swift single “Love Story.” I’m usually not too big on country music but this song is straight fire.

As the aftermath of the passage of Prop 8 continues to wash over this country, a most unique PSA on the subject debuted Tuesday…courtsey of Eden Riegel and her Imaginary B1tches…

    YAY B1TCHES!

    1) the fans of Pushing Daisies – its been a while since people rallied around a show in order to try and save it. whether its signing the petition, sending in daisies/pies to ABC, or simply sending an email, its apparent that we tried to save our beloved show (and best show on TV) from cancellation.
    2) the trailer for Pixar’s UP! – it looks like another amazing achievement from the most original studio out there right now.

1.) 30 Rock! This week had one of the funniest episodes of TV ever! The Oprah guest spot was hilarious.
2.) The Office + Stephen Merchant. I thought the office this season was sort of slipping in the funny while paying too much attention to the drama. An episode directed by Stephen Merchant fixed that!
    3. http://www.pregnantcornbread.com & http://www.officetally.com for keeping me updated on the two best shows this season!

frances conroy on desperate housewives. ruth fisher, beware. grandma virginia hildebrand’s in town, and this manipulative, creepy, rich psycho’s going to steal your kids (and probably that guest actress emmy!)

An addition to my ML-the streaming audio of David Cook’s album at iheartmusic.com is going to occupy all my free time (and some not-so-free-time) until I have a hard copy of that disc in my hand! Best song thus far: Bar-ba-sol

    1. I totally agree with the KOL love – although I thought Use Somebody was the new single and Sex on Fire was old(ish) news already? Anyway, the video for it is even sexier! http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=45792329
Only By The Night is not as good as their previous albums, was quite disappointed by it, but the first half is scorching, for sure.
    2. Also agree with Jen – “Detlef Schrempf” by Band of Horses is the loveliest song this year. Their album Cease to Begin is a must-listen!
    3. Life on Mars (the original UK version) – I just finished the series finale and am left devastated, hopeful and generally stunned by how frakking incredible this series has been. Good luck to ABC – they have one helluva production to live up to.

It is not funny to cancel Christian Slater. “My Own Worst Enemy” is good and was getting better and better, even to the level of excitement. Let’s just hope that NBC airs the remaining few episodes and that sudden, too quick and unjustified cancellation will stop one day.
“Quantum of Solace” might lack some really exciting looking bond-girls and has a sort of random plot, but having Mathieu Amalric as villain undoes all wrongs (btw, his French film “Un conte de Noel” is released the same day in the US as the Bond-movie). After all, any Bond-movie with Daniel Craig is a good Bond-movie.
