Holy billionaire, Batman! Hard to believe that there’s any good economic news out there these days, but here’s a little tidbit from the land of box office: The Dark Knight is just days away from becoming the fourth movie in history to earn more than $1 billion worldwide (not adjusted for inflation). Truly, that’s a huge achievement, not unlike…the victory of "Dorparkr" in EW.com’s now-completed Fall Box Office Challenge!
In all seriousness, congratulations to the big winner of our big fall-movie contest–and congratulations to the Caped Crusader, who has banked an astonishing $528.6 mil domestically (No. 2 all-time behind Titanic’s $600.8 mil) and about $469 mil internationally (ranking it No. 4 on the historical global scale, behind Titanic, The Lord of the Rings 3, and Pirates of the Caribbean 2). And here’s the really amazing thing: I still haven’t seen it yet! Am I the only one?

Haven’t seen it, don’t really care to. Not a big Batman fan to begin with, and an ever lesser fan of way too much hype.
I haven’t seen it yet. One of the drawbacks of being a responsible parent of two little girls under three years old. Will be purchasing the DVD and watching after their bedtime though.

I haven’t seen it yet either! I live in a small town with crappy theaters, so we are waiting for it to come on PPV… my husband says our surround sound is better than our local theater anyway! And my couch is comfier!

I haven’t seen it either, since I was planning on seeing it with a friend. He betrayed me and went and saw it on a date! As a protest, I’m waiting for the DVD. I know I’m only punishing myself, but there ya go.
Better to wait for DVD, where you can fast-forward to all the Joker stuff (and past anything with Maggie Gyllenhaal).
i havent seen the first one or this one…dont intend to. i forever will love the michael keaton version. val kilmer and george clooney – not so much
Best movie of the summer. BUT not as good as Batman Begins.
i am so glad i’m not alone in the world! i was away at grad school this summer and all my friends saw it without me. then one of my friends told me two major plot points. sigh. still really want to see it for myself, though. december 9 is not too far away!

It’s no big sin for someone not to have seen it. Nothing wrong with not seeing it if it’s not your thing- though it is a bit wrong not to see it because there’s “too much hype.” That’s like… Er… Well, I was never good with analogies. But it’s not a good reason. Rawr. Anyway! Good movie, this.
I watched it, and couldn’t get into it, wasn’t that good of a movie. Not enough time to fully portray the Joker and Two-Face. Not enough bang to have a sequel that could have done an accurate portrait of Two-Face, so this one could have portrayed the Joker.
The Dark knight is an amazing movie. it’s very well put together, has a great story and every character is well portrayed (the joker- go heath). you’d have to really hate the genre to not like this movie… it’s brilliant (-:
