Site of the Day: "A Butler Well Served by This Election"

White_house_2For more than three decades Eugene Allen worked in the White House, a black man unknown to the headlines…He saw eight presidential administrations come and go, often workingsix days a week. "I never missed a day of work," Allen says... Do yourself a favor and read this amazing story posted last Friday on the Washington Post website. And if you get a bit teary-eyed at the end, it’s okay…we did too.

I did get teary at the end. What a sweet and amazing historial story and love story. I’m excited our country has taken this new step towards, what I can only hope, a new way of looking at life.

Wook, you did what I thought was unimaginable — gave me a soft spot for Nancy Reagan. Thanks, good story.

Not the ending I was expecting, despite the warning. (And, I too am tearing up.) Thanks so much for sharing that touching story.
