From Joss Whedon writing to Beyonce as Wonder Woman? Nothing against Beyonce, but I don’t see her as an action heroine in the making, and the look is all wrong (Wonder Woman is Amazonian). Charisma Carpenter has the look but I don’t think she has the chops for it. Would rather see Morena Baccarin or Sarah Lancaster in the role. Sarah has the look of a young Carter and both would bring something special to the role.
Thank you, Lilly, for remembering the fiasco that was Catwoman. Comic fans demand consistancy in their cannon, anything else is disrespectful to those shelling out the money to see the movie. Beyonce fans aren’t necessarily your target audience, and really, how do we go from Joss Whedon writing to Beyonce as starring? That’s quite the leap. As talented as she is I don’t think this is an appropriate role for her. Charisma Carpenter has the look but I don’t think she has the chops for it. Would much rather see Morena Baccarin or Sarah Lancaster in the role, both have the look (Lancaster’s a young Carter, same coloring and facial structure), and both would bring something special to the role. It looks like the studio is just careening all over the place trying in vain to get this project off the ground.
If it’s Beyonce I will need to get my tattoo removed. I’ve had it for 6+ years, it would be hard to part with.
It is totally wrong. Accord to the comic book that she is being white.. Why is wonder woman going to be black ? I am confused and disappoint if they did.
She can’t speak well, Beyonce doesn’t open her mouth when she speaks. And when she does, she sound stupid. Plus she can’t act. I think it should be a new comer. Someone who is athletic, not skinny but somewhat muscular.
I’m a ‘no’ for Beyonce as well. I just don’t see it. Also, pul-lease don’t cast Megan Fox. That girl has permanently looks like she’s smelled something foul. Lynda Carter is beautiful, but not in a Maxim-magazine way, hence Megan Fox should not be considered. Someone with a few more years on her or Beyonce would be better. I would take Gina Torres before I took Beyonce.

I don’t care what color Wonder Wonder woman is, as long as the actress fits the part.
Beyonce’ is a perfectly fine actress, but not really Diana material. There are so many brilliant actresses out there of all colors who could do a better job.
I think Warner needs to go with an unknown at this point, otherwise the film will never get made.
Bad idea. I’ve seen her act. She was ok in Dreamgirls but terrible in the other movies I’ve seen her in. My idea for Wonder Woman – Jordana Brewster (saw her on Chuck last night). She even resembles Linda Carter a bit. Another choice – Eliza Dushku but she might be too small.
Do. Not. Want. Sorry Beyonce fans, she can do it all when it comes to music, but acting is really not her forte. Also, she is totally not suited for a superhero role. Especially one as iconic as Wonder Woman. If the rumors are to be believed, the current Wonder Woman script floating around is a period peice. I just don’t see this working with Beyonce Knowles. If The WB learned anything from “Catwoman” (who had an Oscar winner in the lead), they would know not to cast someone more famous than the role. The safest bet would probably be Anne Hathaway (since her role in “Get Smart” was basically an audition for action roles). She is tall enough, has the proper look, and she has a few 100+ Domestic blockbusters under her belt. WW would have to appeal to women to make a profit, and she has shown she does appeal to them. The idea of Will Smith as Steve Rogers makes more sense than this. Especially since there were cases where the military tested things on black soldiers first. But this? No.
If they would cast a little older though, my choice would be Famke Janssen.
I think I can actually see Beyonce being Wonder Woman. The only problem is: Beyonce. Cant. Act.
As much as I love Beyonce, I’m getting tired of seeing her act. She’s not that good. I mean, if the studio really wants to go the way of casting a black actress as Wonder Woman, can they actually get someone who’s day job it is to be an actor? There are plenty of other black actresses in Hollywood who could do the job… pick one of them!
Or pick Megan Fox. She’s hot!
I’ve been holding out hope for Lucy Lawless. If only she was about 10 years younger…
I don’t completely hate the idea. I mean, I’ve been hearing about The Rock for Captain America. Beyonce isn’t a real actress to me, but you know, if she can gain the muscle, more power to her. Some of these superheroes are so tough to cast.
If Megan Fox can be considered (she’s short, insanely hot, but can’t really act) I rather see someone else like Anne Hathaway, Evangeline Lilly from Lost, Rachel McAdams, or Jessica Biel.
