On November 17, owners of Rock Band and Rock Band 2 can start jamming to a bunch of new songs. ‘Rock Band’ Track Pack Volume 2 — for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and Wii — includes hits by such artists as Blondie, Lynyrd Syknyrd, Fall Out Boy, Nine Inch Nails, and Smashing Pumpkins. Like Volume 1 (available only for the PS2), this 20-track disc can be played as a stand-alone game; Xbox 360 and PS3 owners with online connections may have already downloaded many of these songs.
Check out the complete track list after the jump.
All in all, it’s a pretty decent selection: a solid mix ofgenres and decades. The NIN and Pixies tracks interest me the most, and, in the right frame of mind, the Crüe’s "Saints" could be pretty awesome. I’m thinking "Monkey Gone to Heaven" is probably the easiest song. What aboutyou? Are there any songs here you’re particularly happy to see? Or are youdisappointed to discover that a favorite track or band is still MIA?
"Afterlife" – Avenged Sevenfold
"Call Me" – Blondie
"El Scorcho" – Weezer
"Girl U Want" – Devo
"Girls Who Play Guitars" – Maximo Park
"Indestructible" - Disturbed
"It Hurts" - Angels & Airwaves
"Just What I Needed" – The Cars
"Message in a Bottle" – The Police
"Monkey Gone to Heaven" – Pixies
"Rio" – Duran Duran
"Saints of Los Angeles" – Mötley Crüe
"Simple Man" – Lynyrd Skynyrd
"Snow ((Hey Oh))" – Red Hot Chili Peppers
"The Perfect Drug" – Nine Inch Nails,
"This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race" – Fall Out Boy
"Time Is Running Out" – Papa Roach
"Why Do You Love Me" - Garbage
"You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’" – Judas Priest,
"Zero" – Smashing Pumpkins

You can already download most of these online.. what a joke!
I think it’s mainly for the Wii users who cannot download songs.
Total ripoff. A lot of these songs have been available for months. Just get some X-Box Live points and spare yourself from having to scroll past Motley Crue.
The first track pack was for the Wii and PS2 because their versions of Rock Band did not have internet access. This is good if you don’t have internet access but if you do it’s no longer worth it if you have a Wii because Rock Band 2 will have downloadable content for it.
as an owner of the wii version, this provides me with more tracks. but, i will not be purchasing it. poor selections in my mind
Interesting but if this is for the Wii users my question is:
Rock Band 2 already had announced online DLC, so why would any Wii users purchase this? Wouldn’t it just be smarter for Wii users to just buy this DLC come Rock Band 2?
“Saints” IS pretty awesome…my friends and I killed it at our last drunken Rock Band night
