Robert Pattinson on Virgil and Martin Amis, and on looking like an 'alien'

As if we haven’t bombarded you with enough Robert Pattinson (as if there’s such a thing as too much Rob!), get ready for your daily fix, Twilighters. Here’s Part 2 of our interview, where the man behind Edward Cullen talks about how he prepared for the role. There’s only one downside — you have to wait until Monday for the next installment. Until then, PopWatchers!

Robert seems like a really down to earth person. I wish I lived somewhere close enough to go to the tours, but I live in small town America.

I find him fascinating. I’d love him to play Jeff Buckley ina film because thats what he pines for as he says in the EW article. He’s the sort of person who you want to achieve their dreams.

  • Sarah

He says the literary character that he’s like is John Self in Martin Amis’s Money. I think he;s harsh on himself. Mind you its a perfect role for him to play in a film.

I could watch Rob every day. He’s a delight and lights up people’s lives.

Dont apologise for too much Rob. There’s never enough Rob as far as I’m concerned. Its lovely to see he has fans who care.

I spent huge quantities of my scholastic life translating the poetry of Virgil, kind of cool to know that someone besides me now reads it for fun.

he always comes across as well read. He has great taste in music and I love hsi choice of books that he’s mentioned in various interviews. I;d have ove dto have hung out in that bookshop with him.

I’ll take as much of Rob as I can get my hands on. The man is the best thing thats come along in years.

This kid is the perfect combination of dreamy and creepy. I love that he and Kristi(e?)n got totally into their characters and the mechanics of loving a vampire, like it was a legit serious movie role (which it kind of is, but…?) like the EW article said. Anyways, I just hope this movie is good, never mind if it does well. It’ll do awesome if it stays true to the spirit of the books.

There is no such thing, I repeat, no such thing as too much ROB…he is better than a hot cup of strong java in the morning…he is the most interesting actor to come along in a really long time…he makes you care about him as a person not just for the characters he portrays in films…

  • Crystal

No, we could never get enough of Rob!!! Thank you so much and we would appreciate more please ;) He is an extremely talented actor/musician and OH SO HOT!!! More Rob, please, please, please ;)

He’s so well read and I love the way he says “Ambrozzzia.” He’s unlike any actor I’ve seen in a while. Quite disarming with his spontaneous responses rather than parroting monotonous scripted ones. He’s got a lot of personality and I can’t wait to see his other films and follow his career. And yes, I’ve never read the book Twilight and probably won’t, but since I want to see more of his charismatic self in this series of films, I’ll see the movie at minimum three times in the first weekend. And see it some more periodically throughout its release; the producers won’t make another film if it doesn’t do well on opening weekend. So go see it a bazillion times!

I could never have dreamt of anyone touching Jeff Buckley. Never.
Until Now! Somebody needs to make this happen. No one else could do it.
Who do I call to make it happen! Grrrr.
