If you’ve actually read the chapter/short story, you’d get the title. “When someone has not only hurt you, but tries to destroy you, you’re in a Quantum of Solace. All you want to do is get away from the person”.
What did Vesper do to Bond in Casino Royale? You have to look at it like that.
Personally, I think this movie was more for the die-hard-have-read-the-books fans who understand the refrence… don’t bomb it until you know what was behind it.
wouldn’t mind him in trunks again thou… ^.^

Just for yucks, what is everyone’s favorite Connery, Moore, Dalton, and Brosnan Bond film? No fair naming two. And overall favorite of all Bond movies? Mine: Goldfinger, For Your Eyes Only, The Living Daylights, GoldenEye. Overall favorites: tie between GoldenEye, Casino Royale, and The Living Daylights.

No, but wait. Someone liked all the “die” titles? Sure, Live and Let Die is a great title, with a great theme song, and the movie is corny/great. But Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day? Two of the most craptastic titles (and movies) in the whole franchise! Completely arbitrary and could almost have been the title of any Bond movie. To me, the best ones are those that have that totally indefinable “Bondness” about them: Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only, A View To a Kill, The Living Daylights, GoldenEye, The World Is Not Enough, Quantum of Solace. The quality of the title is completely independent of the quality of the movie (hence World Is Not Enough, suckfest, and Casino Royale, killer).

I actually really like the title. i think it really works. im not thrilled about the QUANTUM villains group though. i think it would’ve worked better in its description of just bond.
either way. i think it sounds cool. and when you see it, it looks…smart, and british, and spy-ish. and all that is Bond.
