Idiots!
No, no, no…not you, PopWatchers. I’m referring to the subjects of EW.com’s brand new (and must-read) photo gallery, "Our 20 Favorite Movie/TV Idiots," which includes my personal favorite, the utterly ridiculous (and perpetually hilarious) Amanda Tanen (Becki Newton) of Ugly Betty. Watch a classic clip (embedded below) of Amanda performing Kelis’ "Milkshake" to entertain the audience during an (unexpected) break at the Wilhelmina Slater-Bradford Meade wedding, and after the jump, an Amanda highlight reel (featuring her extra-special pronunciation of "hola").
Anyhow, do read our gallery, and when you’re done, head to the comments section and tell us which idiots we left off our list. Without calling us idiots, of course.

Jayne from Firefly. He’s a good lookin’ man who knows how to work a gun, but not much else.
Michael Scott from The Office is a way more loveable buffoon than Andy Bernard.
But my favorite knucklehead ever has to be the one and only Inspector Gadget.
I can only assume Forrest Gump (the preson quoted as the title of the list) would’ve been too obvious, right?
Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted Theodore Logan! Together they are Wyld Stallions! And in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, they pull off one of the greatest last-minute homework assignments in movie school history (literally). An omission most heinous indeed.
and Ashton Kutcher’s Kelso. He owned That 70’s Show.
Harry from 3rd Rock from the Sun.
Joey from Friends.
Gomer Pyle from Gomer Pyle
Screech from Saved by the Bell
Adam Sandler, Brendan Frasier, Steve Buschimi together in Airheads
Ben Stiller in Dodgeball
Will Ferrell in anything
I was surprised that I didn’t see That 70’s Show’s beloved idiot Michael Kelso on your list. He is definitely one of my faves.
“Make it nasty” hahaha!! This is one of my fav clips of Becki Newton!! Genius! She definitely needs to be nominated for an Emmy.
What about Andrew from Buffy season 6 and 7???? Best quote ever: “Timothy Dalton should win an Oscar and beat Sean Connery over the head with it.”
My favorite lovable TV buffoon – Art Carney as Ed Norton. Norton, in the words of Jackie Gleason, “You’re the greatest!” Second place has to go to Carroll O’Connor as Archie Bunker. Third place goes to Alice Ghostly from “Bewitched.” All made lovable buffoons worth watching on the TV screen.
Does Sarah Palin count? (Tina Fey’s version or the real thing. Either way.)
How could you leave Sarah Palin off this list???
Also, how could I forget? Zoolander!
With his eugoogolies, accepting awards he didn’t win and participating in a gasoline splash fight with his friends, he should’ve been a lock for this list!
My top pick is Monroe Ficus, on “Too Close for Comfort”, played by Jim J. Bullock. I mean, with a name like Monroe Ficus, that pretty much tells you everything you need to know.
Bill and Ted?
Wayne and Garth?
Mr Farley from Three’s Company?
Scooby Dum?
The list goes on and on!
Patrick the Starfish (Did you just roll in from Stupidtown?)
And for the history books: Floyd the Barber in Andy Griffith. You just don’t get much stupider.
Another vote for Kelso.
Romy and Michelle (the originals) should have been on list before the Dick chicks. “I was so lucky getting mono. That was like the best diet ever.”
Oh, I just remembered Kirk from Gilmore Girls. He was the village idiot. Who better epitomizes idiocy?
There’s also Dick Casablancas from Veronica Mars. The idiot you hate to love.
I also agree with Kelso and Bill & Ted.
Kathgal, because you know Monroe’s last name, you are officially my hero. Ah, I used to love that show . . . (and I second her nomination, too)
No one has mentioned Bullwinkle Moose yet.
After reading the EW interview with Stephenie Meyer, I think you can safely add her to the list.
Patrick Star! He’s the only reason that I watch SpongeBob.
Thank you Rob Grizzly! Bill & Ted are a must! (Keanu will always be Ted to me). What about Wayne & Garth??
Joey from Friends. Everytime he made a dumb comment, I felt like jumping into the tv screen and correcting him.
Rose from The Golden Girls
The 3 Stooges
Barney Fife and Goober from The Andy Griffith Show.
Any Pauiy Shore film
Moose from Archie Comics
Cad from Underdog
Michael Scott – The Office
Joey – Friends
Dwight Schrute – The office
Reese – Malcolm in the Middle
Krisi – Three’s company
Kelly Bundy – Married with Children
You have to have Dr. “The Todd” Quinlan from Scrubs on this list! Am I right? C’mon people, idiot-list must-add-high-five!
