Should you happen to see some morose game fans panhandling outside your local Gamestop this week, blame the insane release schedule that just went into overdrive for the holidays. More than a few A-list titles go on sale this week, including: Resistance 2, Quantum of Solace, Tom Clancy’s EndWar, and, on Friday, Gears of War 2. Also vying for your recession-distressed wallet are Naruto Ultimate Ninja: Storm, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009; and for you Nintendo fans out there, Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine and Monster Lab. We say: God bless you, game publishers for giving us so many terrific options. We also say: Damn you, game publishers for giving us so many terrific options! Gears 2 will monopolize most of my time this week (as I was lucky enough to score a review copy). How about you PopWatchers? Which newrelease(s) get your vote this election day?

I’m waiting until Nov. 11th. Call of Duty World at War is the way to go.
Gears of War 2 is going to make me fail all my classes for the next two months. I watched a special about it on X-Play and almost peed my pants. The first two minutes look mouth-wateringly amazing.
Just looking at Gears of War 2 is burning a hole in my wallet
Haha Rob. I know what you mean. I’m picking this up on a Thursday night midnight run, guaranteed.
I hope I don’t fail my classes, playing this too much. The last Gears and CoD4 stole a lot of time when I first purchased them.
I’ll pray for you elena.
Speaking of CoD, I’m not sure if I’ll purchase World at War. After the amazing CoD4, I can’t fathom going back to the way overdone WWII setting.
