Do NOT give up on 24. Contrary to the “we’re making it up as we go along” line the producers have been spinning since the show debuted, everything that has happened will be connected in a mind-blowing way. 24, when everything is said and done, will have by far the most complex mythology of any tv series ever.
Yes, I know last season was kind of disappointing. But I think there’s going to be a legitimate explanation why there were “problems”.
I’ll be there!!!
cannot wait… looking forward to it!
I CAN’T WAIT FOR 24 TO FINALLY BE BACK ON!!!
Are you kidding? Seriously? Ummm… well let’s see 24 or Deal or No Deal. Oh wait, maybe NBC is showing a Knight Rider rerun. Now there’s quality TV! C’mon!!! Jack is Back, and TV is better for it!!!
Jack is coming back!
cant wait!!
The problem the made 24 truly stagnant was that the whole “America’s being attacked by terrorists!” for six seasons in a row just got ridiculous. The show made sense after the attack in NYC, but after a couple seasons, Americans’ fears began to subside from a sense of terror to a sense of realism. Thus, 24 became irrelevant.
With the new season, the producers and writers wised up and moved Jack from that very tired premise and into something that actually piques our interests again: international affairs. Americans have taken their heads out of the sand and are now paying more attention to international affairs, and hopefully 24 will continue to stay away from terrorists attacking America and instead stick with problems that are actually occurring in other countries like genocide in Africa.
