I was prepared for an hour (or more) wait this morning, but I didn’t even have time to take the book I brought out of my bag. In fact, I spent more time walking around the school gymnasium trying to find the "I Voted" stickers than I did in line (or behind the curtain).
How long did you wait to vote? How did you pass the time? And am I the only one who didn’t get a sticker?*
* Apparently not. My friend Sheila reports that after 3.5 hours in line in Brooklyn, she also got sticker-screwed.

I did the absentee ballot, so I watched the news and reminded myself which issues I wanted to vote no against. Sorry, not very helpful.
I waited for about 45 minutes in West Hollywood. I listened to my ipod on shuffle (“Don’t Stop till You get Enough” got me boogying in line) and read EW! (Gotta catch up sometime). All in all, time well spent.
I brought my video Ipod and just watched episodes of The Office.
I voted in Madison, WI and NO ONE I’ve spoken to has gotten a sticker. It’s an epidemic!!
Waited for an hour and fifteen minutes to vote in Norfolk, Virginia. Got my sticker!
I also got sticker robbed!!!
And I just listened to my iPod while the guy behind complained for an hour and a half!
I don’t know anyone who’s gotten a sticker so far in iowa.
No stickers in Louisiana either!
I didn’t get a sticker either. I wasn’t expecting such long lines, but I pulled out my ipod and listened to a little Death Cab.
I voted after a 5 minute wait around noon today in Shelby Township, MI. and I got a sticker and so did my kids. (Lots of stickers in Michigan)
Brooklyn… 2 hours in line. History made. No sticker.
2 hours in harlem, no stickers, and 130 pages read in the book i’m reading. yay democracy!
I voted this morning in New Jersey. There was no wait at all. I also did not receive a sticker.
Read Howard’s End for about an hour and 15 minutes in Indiana, and the lady let me take my sticker before I’d even voted. But maybe your polling places are just more environmentally conscious than mine
I waited for ten minutes, with a four year old, so it felt like a half an hour. PLus I did NOT get a sticker, so no free Starbucks for me.
