You know that one dude Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher (pictured) everyone keeps talking about on TV? He may or may not already be a played-out Halloween costume, but he sure is famous. So famous, in fact, that he’s just retained the services of a Nashville-based PR firm, which sent me a press release last night. Said publicity firm has also been quoted as saying that "Joe" is considering launching a country music career. Yep, that’s right — "Joe the Plumber" is on the cusp of pulling a Joaquin the Actor. I, Simon the Blogger, am going to refrain from making a hasty judgment on this important matter (as well as from making any further lame "______ the ______er" jokes). So you tell me. Good idea? Bad idea? And wouldn’t it make more sense for a plumber to play some good old-fashioned musical pipes than to try and become a country singer?

NO.
Aren’t this guy’s 15 minutes up yet?
Would I listen to a country album from Joe the Plumber? NO
Would I vomit all over a country album from Joe the Plumber? YES
NO, But I love what he stands for !!! Go Joe, use up your 15 minutes like all of the other useless Hollywood elite do!!!!! Hooray for the middle class man with a lot of American patriotism!!!!
no.
I thought this guy wanted OUT of the public spotlight?
Ick. Maybe his time would be better spent obtaining a plumber’s license?
“Love him!”, you love what Joe the Plumber stands for? Owing having a lien on his house because he owes back taxes? And I’m way more patriotic than him because I PAY MY TAXES.
Cinderella, yeah, that’s what he keeps saying, but he’s a typical Republican and talks out both sides of his mouth. Maybe that new album will help him pay those taxes he owes.
Oh great! Another ubiquitious nobody looking to get their 15 minutes of fame. Dammit, McCain! See what you started?
Maybe the guy is a great singer. I won’t judge him until I hear it.
But I do worry that this is another instance of country music being more about selling records than making good records.
I hope for his sake that he’s, like, an incredible undiscovered talent. Otherwise this is simply HORRIFYING.
depends on if he can sing. btw, i’m a small business owner and i approve his message.
I’d have say no. Especially after his ignorant reply to an equally ignorant voting citizen yesterday who furthered the big lie that Obama would be the death to Israel. Even Fox’s Shepard Smith couldn’t allow that lie to go forward when he interviewed Joe the ignorant about it. No music, no Joe, no McCain, no Palin, no way, no how.
And I forgot to say to everyone: VOTE like your future depends on it, because it does.
